Could be what a stranger ate for breakfast, or what your nana said to you before she died. I've always accepted it as part of who I am.

Very few books refuse to let your eyes leave it even for a minute and this book was one of them for me. Each dialogue hits hard, each incident digs deep, each heartbreak feels personal and when everything is put together they all Make Sense.

The Wyrm King. Top Story - June 2024.
'The Wyrm King' the third and final volume of Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. In this volume the fantastical characters are really showing themselves and their various talents. Nick and Laurie and family and still learning and making compromises as well as promises trying to be kept in helping the Nixie's and the other people and entities. Nick along with all the others learn how to help each other past and present. Once again Holly Black's artwork would make great coloring pages. All of these books thanks to Tony and Holly were great show and tell books for all ages.

I Finished Grad School!. Top Story - June 2024.
I finished my Master’s Degree! Did I learn anything? Arguably. Do I regret it? Not particularly. Will I use it? Not immediately. My Master’s Degree was challenging. I feel as though it precluded me from living out the life I’ve wanted to live these past two years: traveling the world, working abroad, seeing new sights. Was that what I was doing before I came to Binghamton University to start my Master’s Degree in Theatre? Absolutely, it was. Before coming to Binghamton, I was an ESL teacher. I’d worked in Ukraine the previous summer, and in Slovakia the autumn after that. That job in Slovakia broke me: the management was rude, there wasn’t much of a support system in place, and I’d gotten ill several times. That awful experience was what drew me to applying for Master’s programs to start in 2022.

1977. Top Story - June 2024.
1977 - I remember the year like it was today. Newly nineteen and newlyweds. Your hair was like goldenrod. Your dress framed your body perfectly. Your lips sang to me all the way down the aisle. We were young and smart, not dumb, I think. You are still my sweet everything after all these years. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how well we still suit each other. You make familiar look gorgeous! Thank you for trusting me and caring for me the way you always do. I sometimes get lost with dreams but you always do the best to make those dreams reality.

The Tome. Top Story - June 2024.
I wrote this story as part of my ko-fi based writing group's prompt for April 2024. It's inspired by a D&D party of mine, with Skylar being my own character from that game.Prompt: Everyone else is positive that the dusty, ancient tome you found on your last expedition is a long-lost spellbook, with the grimoire containing magics long thought lost to this world. You, however, are pretty sure it's just a cookbook. I also used this prompt as the basis for my Storytelling Collective Comics Challenge this year, so I'll share the comic at the end of this.
