I've enjoyed writing and reading ever since I was in grade school. I'm looking forward to making a career out of my talent as a writer. If you like any of my articles be sure to share them and leave me a tip. Any type of support is great!
How I came to love myself
I decided to write this article to Vocal as a means of healing and inspiration to those who have trouble loving who they already are. There is so much negativity in today's world; we have so many people who can't find anything better to do than verbally or physically abuse someone else. We need to have the courage to do three things. One; keep all negative people out of our lives if possible. Two; realize that it is not us that is the problem, it is them. Three; love ourselves and not change for the sake of others liking us. I learned that lesson a long time ago.
Quitting smoking. My journey and how it benefitted me.
I decided to write to Vocal about one of my greatest challenges in life. It was a challenge but was also a wonderful accomplishment in life. Quitting smoking is the most difficult habit to overcome. It is not easy and most people that quit pick up the habit and become what they would call second hand smokers. People sometimes start to have cravings and some people, even years after quitting have dreams of smoking. I've experienced the dreams as well as others that I know of. Quitting smoking is one of the greatest achievements that I have ever accomplished.
Pride. Everyone has told me to keep my head up and have Pride. How? I ask myself. How can I when everyone else looks down on me?
The way you are
I will always love you the way that you are. I will never want to change anything about you. I love your style. I love your personality.
My day of school
Every morning I'd awaken, Anticipating the new day I'd dress and get ready for another school day I'd ride the bus to school though no one really spoke to me
The garden was full of fertility and life full of an abundant amounts of fruits and flowers. The stream flows peacefully through all four directions
My sister was a miracle
The day you were born was a day of joy. You survived through so many hospital visits and so many surgeries. We were so scared of losing you.
Can't stay away
I can't stay away from you. I love the feeling of your arms around me. I love the taste of your kiss. I love the feel of your touch.
This poem is a bit different from my other poems. Originally I write poems about romance and heartbreak that goes with it but this time I decided to write something else. This poem is written about when I lost my grandmother to cancer. Enjoy!
Without you I have no love. Without you I have no understanding. Without you I have no patience. Without you I have no protection.
Is she really better
Is she really better? Does she make you any happier than we ever were. Does she really give you the joy and the love that you deserve.
It seems no matter what I always come back to you. You are my heart. You are my world. You are my everything. I'm pleading with you to please help make this work.
