coping
Life presents variables; learning how to cope in order to master, minimize, or tolerate what has come to pass.
$#*£ Resilience. Top Story - May 2024.
I was going to relax this evening. Tune out, hunker down, look after myself. I need it. I am exhausted. Thoroughly used up. And it's only Wednesday. Not even half way through the week. A week that in the UK, is Mental Health Awareness week. I don't know who decides these things, who gets to co-opt a day, a week, a month, and declare it a thing about a thing. But I do know a lot about mental health. I know a lot about mental health AND I know a lot about working for the UK's National Health Service. And so it was with interest that I clicked play on the below video, earlier today. By the time I finished, I was in tears.

How My Life’s Purpose to Have an Unbreakable Heart Left Me Broken in Life
Ever noticed how people who are afraid of having their heart broken often end up feeling broken? Until recently, that was the case for me anyway. I was always striving to have an unbreakable heart — but never quite succeeded. What did it mean for me to “have an unbreakable heart”? Finding Behavioral Residue
Everything is the same, yet nothing is the same. By appearances it felt like home, but the heart of it is missing. The light from the sun floods in, in search of it, but unable to find it, so light is everywhere. It seems extra bright as if trying to compensate for the loss even it knows exists. Light touches Everything in the office. The settled dust sparkles as glitter giving it a heavenly feel. Maybe it once was.

What is Borderline Personality Disorder?
Borderline personality disorder is a mental disorder characterized by unstable moods, behaviors, and relationships, and it usually involves general instability, impulsivity, relationship difficulties, intense fears of abandonment and rejection, distorted self-image, and often self-harm. I wanted to make this video to kind of break down what borderline is, how to manage it and cope with it if you struggle with it, and if you don’t personally struggle with it, but you know someone who does, how you can help them. I was inspired to write this article based on an interaction I had in the comments on YouTube, so thank you to that viewer for the inspiration.

A Few Of My Favorite Stories
“The Eagle Story” I tell this story when working with people who have trauma, grief, and loss work to do. The many people who are giving up drugs, alcohol, sugar, overworking, gambling, etc. Those traumas have been self-medicated by using one of the above and others.
