Resurrection Defeat Death

Apostle Paul was a pharisee. He was very familiar with the law and treated the law preciously. He had strong passion to follow the law to live his life. However, the more he tried to obey the law, the more he found himself a weak person with limitation. He couldn't have peace and freedom in his heart. After he met Stephen, he was shocked at the peaceful face when Stephen died. He had tried so hardly to pursue the peace and joy but he couldn't have.

We sinners have too many weakness to fulfill the law ourselves. Satan may attact us. When we met our Lord Jesus, he paid all the debt for us on the cross. Before we had to die for our sins. We fell into spiritual death and lived in sin. Death is the result of our sin. It is also the weapon of Satan. Satan tempted us to break the law. And then Satan condemned the person with the law given by God. Satan attacked sinners with the law. You don't deserve the love of God. You are such a weak person. No matter how you try, you will not be able to receive the grace from God. These are the lies of Satan.

After Paul understood the love of Christ, he confessed no one can stand as a righteous person in front of God. Sinners broke so many laws of God and it caused death. How could sinners live? It is only by receiving the Lord as our savior. We cannot rely on our own strength and ablitiy. It is only by accepting what Jesus has done for us on the cross to get freedom and healing. We are totally losers and failed to obey the law.

The worldly teaching will excuse us from our sins by blaming our families or other people. But it is because we are descendants of Adam and we sin because we are sinners. No matter what kind of excuse we seek for ourselves to try to get rid of the self pity and self condemning, we cann't but admit we are sinners. Only when we come to Jesus, we can find the peace that he died on the cross to forgive us. We can get salvation from Jesus and defeated Satan only by the blood of Jesus Christ. Through his death on the cross, we came to know about the love of God. We are saved and justified through our faith toward the unconditional love of God. We don't deserve to be called the son of God but God accepted us and redeemed us frist. We are like the prodigal son and God is waiting for us to come back. When we open our hearts to accept his love and forgiveness, we can be recovered and get rid of the power of sin.

For those who know about sins through the law of God, you should not waver and lost faith toward God. Satan is keeping attacking us and let us doubt the love of God. Why we doubt? Because we sinned. So Satan will come to let us fell into the unblief and get far away from God when we sinned. Faith means no matter what kind of sinner I am, God is willing to love me and forgive me. We are encouraged by Paul.

Where O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting?

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
