Rumination will increase internal consumption

Many people in their free time like to ramble, most of them are meaningless assumptions or suspicions, the content does not have an impact on life, and even consumes people's internal energy, adding to their worries, over time, prone to mental illness.

Psychologists have conducted a statistical survey of human internal consumption factors, the habit of rumination ranked in the top three, and the other two are procrastination and doing things you do not like. Among the subjects, 32.6% of them suffered from the internal consumption of rumination.

Even if we do not have any physical exertion, the brain is still active in the work of thinking can also make us feel tired as if we are doing intense physical work.

More and more people find that "mental fatigue" is not easier than physical exertion, because it is the "internal consumption" of their energy.

Even if you plan a lot of things every day, countless thoughts flash through your mind before you implement your plan, such as "What will I eat for lunch?" Focus on the immediate reality

All four of these principles, it has to do with focusing on the immediate reality.

Avoiding pain is an innate human behavior. Everyone tends to avoid pain to a greater or lesser extent, but some people choose to let themselves face it directly, while others, like ostriches, hide in their world to deceive themselves when they encounter problems.

Immersing oneself in the world of one's mind is a kind of escape from reality.

Because they feel dissatisfied with the current situation, they will conceive a world they are satisfied with within their minds, or let themselves escape from dealing with the reality in front of them by thinking about something they are interested in.

Neither dwelling on the past nor thinking about the future is the way to change the status quo.

If you want to face reality, then making yourself aware that you should live in the present is the most direct and effective way. At the same time, don't be afraid that you will make mistakes, mess things up, and make people around you look down on you.

Only when you do things on the ground, whether you succeed or fail, is it an improvement. And if you don't even dare to set out to do it, and avoid problems through fantasy, you will always be standing still.

Finding security in life

Most of the people who have ruminations are related to the object of their intimate relationship, fearing that the other party does not treat them sincerely, whether the other party will belittle them in front of others, etc. This is a sign of insecurity in the mind.

Insecurity will prompt you to repeatedly confirm in your mind the other party's feelings for you, but also from time to time doubt whether your relationship is stable, the other party a little action makes you fantasize about many irrelevant things too.

These unfounded speculations will not only consume the energy in your heart, but also will blind your eyes to see the other party express to you like, it is difficult to experience the beauty and sweetness of intimacy, and even let the other party away from you.

Therefore, when we realize that we are thinking nonsense should promptly stop and ask ourselves, "Do I think this is enough basis?"

Whenever you feel uncomfortable because of your thoughts, you can ask in your mind: Is it worth the trouble to think about something that has no reason?

Although it is not easy to do this, it is an effective way to change the problem of rumination.

True security does not come from others, but is given by oneself, through practical life work to obtain, indulge in fantasy will only bring short-lived pleasure and long-lasting pain.

And when you accomplish your goals for the day, the satisfaction is far greater than the pleasure of rumination.

The fantasy is a kind of aspiration and setting of life under the premise of satisfying material conditions. The appropriate fantasy will reduce the pain in life and increase the courage to face the suffering, but it is not a permanent solution.

No matter what kind of fantasy, we have to face reality, however, if we spend a lot of time on fantasy, it will lead us to accomplish nothing.
