Sun chases moon, moon chases sun,

Through dawn and dusk, till day is done,

And on and on into night’s pale dread

Then round again till time is dead.

They spiral-dance across the sky,

Waltzing to their each-own tide,

For though they yearn across dark space,

Neither will admit to the chase.

They waltz alone, feign peace of heart,

Pretend that they’re content to dance,

But plain as noon for all to see:

Foolish lune, the sun burns for thee,

Stubborn sol, the moon pines away,

Wan and cold, awaiting the day

When once again your spheres may touch,

In cautious rediscovery of love,

Then black the sky and blind the earth,

Let them remember what light is worth,

As sun and moon forget their profession

And lose themselves in pure obsession…

Then carried by the speed of the dance

They are pulled apart with wistful glance

And light returns into the world,

And on they spin, and on they whirl.

Supposed to be studying for an engineering degree. But words are fun too. They keep escaping. So I thought I'd put them here. Favourite words: silver, Juarez, psithurism, twit.
