a trip,
a need,
an edge
that cuts

we ride each day,
the fall so near.
yet you risk us
in your need
to show me
how bold you can be,
how free.
too bad the rasp
i ooze
from a long hard cry
says
you bled me dry.
an epic fail
that i can't see
cos you
have me
beg for more
and more.

It's often difficult to tell the difference. Usually we don't get sufficiently passionate to act hatefully without first having that impulse for love & care.

Goodness I felt this hard. It built tension perfectly. That ending "love, hate they look the same to me" gorgeous. Have you ever see night of the hunter? There's a really great (admittedly very creepy) love hate speech. Spike Lee used it in Do the Right thing. This was a very different vibe but a very similarly visceral reaction.
