surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Nature's Serenity in Poetry
Indeed, the serenity that nature teaches us can be considered a form of poetry. Nature has a way of inspiring awe and contemplation, evoking emotions and thoughts that are often beautifully expressed through the medium of poetry. The sights, sounds, and rhythms of the natural world can become metaphors for our own experiences, helping us connect with deeper aspects of ourselves and the world around us.

The silence of the darkness began to caress my soul. Take a deep breath and return to the living. Slumber slowly leaving and my awareness awakens.

Ring Running in circles From here to forever This adamantine piece of trust I lay upon my skin A symbol of a promise To love you until we are dust

True friends stick together. True friends stay sweet and colourful, even in the most sour and dark moments of their lives. True friends never break down for the littlest things in life. Authenticity is staying in your place, regardless of the circumstances and issues with society. Authenticity is never breaking one’s promise. Authenticity is standing your ground, but being genuine at the same time. Happiness is taking advantage of the simplest moments with your friends, family, and yourselves. Happiness is letting yourselves swim in your own pools of emotions, without judgement and regret.

which ones to break
there are things to be and to be afraid of i learn fast and hard but not quick when it comes to me the one complicated is where it started lost and crowned in the other's bed together is only nowhere we want to see everything while it's still happening and be there back to where we started to return to GO home if you have one none of that makes sense so i guess we are now on the same page friend near the end this is no place you should be to take a risk if you don't have one left you never play by the rule to last approach to laws like the chair the man sits in so you know which ones to break and which ones to fix or punctuate that is not your place to judge my sins

Amanda StarksPublished 10 months ago in PoetsWhy I enjoy writing Ekphrastic Poetry
When I started writing poetry as a child, I used it as a medium to express my feelings. The themes I wrote about were just as limited as the exposure I had to the world. I kept a diary for such poems, and I still return to those pages realising the naivety and innocence of my perspective. I drew inspiration from pop songs and poetry that was part of my school curriculum for vocabulary or phrases that are repeated in my early drafts. One thing was for sure, I enjoyed writing and nothing could stop me from pursuing to hone the craft.

Whispers of the Rain: A Serenade in Poem
Upon a canvas of gray and mist, The rain descends with a gentle twist. A dance of droplets in the air, A soothing melody beyond compare.
