WHEN TWO HEARTS START BREAKING
WHEN TWO HEARTS START BREAKING They sat across the table, But neither spoke a word, They both had things to say but, Their voices couldn’t be heard.

What you call you...
blood-curdled girl, hating pain so much that you sit with it, signaling away every helpful spirit, watching them as you wave with your breaking wishes, how many questions did you save, how many did you bury in your lyrics, singing with a soul that could create waves, but in silence you absorb the toll of silent days, you shine so bright, but you name yourself lurid, covered in darkness, every kiss bruises, laying among the shells with no muses, you shatter poetry to see what the book of truth says, the story where every hero loses, where what came before is what chooses, never worried if the shoes fit, you just put them on and watch yourself lose it, I can't help but want to get you out of that corner, but on the other side of the room, is another girl in a corner, that might as well be a tomb, and you hate her, but she's so nice to me, but you hate her being called sweet, thus, you've turned her into a bloodcurdling scream.

Don't Speak
This was inspired by something my daughter said that I misheard while we were walking around our neighborhood which is overrun with stray cats. First draft, so I will probably come back to it at some point.

The House That Remembered Me
The House That Remembered Me I walked into the house, The silence knew my name, The walls still held the past, But nothing felt the same.

Nourish the Mind in Peace and Love
Nourish the Mind in Peace and Love Nourish the mind with peaceful thoughts like morning dew, Allowing hope to gently grow in everything you do. The seeds we plant within ourselves determine what will rise, Whether gardens filled with joy or sorrow in disguise.

The Elders Knew the Best Way to Live
The Elders Knew the Best Way to Live The elders walked with steady feet upon the earth they knew, Respecting every season for the gifts that each one grew. They wasted little, treasured and shared what they could spare, Believing every neighbour’s burden was a load to share.

Please Don’t Let Him In
Please Don’t Let Him In The smile he wears is polished bright. It hides the storm behind his eyes. He speaks in honey, soft and slow. While weaving carefully crafted lies.

Don’t Believe Him… He Is a Liar
Don’t Believe Him… He Is a Liar His smile is stitched with borrowed grace, A velvet mask upon his face. He speaks in whispers, soft and low, Planting seeds he’ll never grow.

The House Beneath The Scarlet Moon
The House Beneath The Scarlet Moon The house stood silent in the mist. Its windows watched the fading light. The scarlet moon climbed overhead. Awakening another night.
