WHEN TWO HEARTS START BREAKING
The deep feeling of knowing it’s over, hurts deeply

WHEN TWO HEARTS START BREAKING
They sat across the table,
But neither spoke a word,
They both had things to say but,
Their voices couldn’t be heard.
She looked into his eyes and,
She wondered where he’d gone,
The man she used to laugh with,
Was somehow not the one.
He wanted her to hear him,
But didn’t know what to say,
He knew they’d both been hurting,
For far too long that way.
She said she’d felt forgotten,
He said he’d felt alone,
They both had built up walls and,
Had stopped making a home.
They loved each other still but,
The love had started hurting,
They kept on having battles,
And neither one was learning.
She cried beside the window,
He walked into the hall,
They both wanted to fix it,
But couldn’t fix it all.
They held each other tightly,
And promised one more try,
Because beneath the anger,
They didn’t want goodbye.
Sometimes love needs forgiveness,
And sometimes time to heal,
Because two hearts can still break,
When both of them still feel.
