I Pray To My Jesus
I Pray To My Jesus I pray to my Jesus when the night feels cold When my heart feels tired and the world turns old When silence surrounds me and tears fill my eyes

Moving On
Grabbing my roll-on bag Tossing my purse over my shoulder I head for the door You just can’t believe I’ll walk out on you

Fraud
07:05pm 12/12/2022 My words were final. Harsh. Sincere. A shame they would only be rearranged and repackaged. Branded to fit a narrative of someone else's design.

This Part Of Happy
sometimes I'd slip down to the waterhole, long-strap overalls rolled to the knees, dipping into cool ripples lapping over my feet; olive-green minnows tickling between my toes and under. Leaning backward 'til my head rests on linked fingers, arms akimbo my hands a pillow, sinking into the verdant tower of furry-tail sedges walling me in and around, the green scent of wet earth and chlorophyll slowing the breath escaping my lungs, lulling me under. Soft rays, filtering through rain-washed light, gleaming upward in an iridescent bow covering this part of happy.
