I pray to my Jesus when the night feels cold

When my heart feels tired and the world turns old

When silence surrounds me and tears fill my eyes

You remain beside me through dark heavy skies

I pray to my Jesus when I feel alone

When sorrow sits deeply inside of my bones

Your mercy still reaches the parts no one sees

And carries my soul gently back to peace

The weight of this life can grow hard to bear

Still somehow I feel Your presence there

Inside every struggle and every scar

Your love reminds me who I truly are

I whisper Your name through heartbreak and pain

Through storms that arrive again and again

You lift every fear that tries holding me down

Then place hope and light where despair once drowned

I pray for the lost and the broken souls

For hearts growing empty with painful holes

May kindness and faith find their way once more

And open the locks on forgotten doors

I pray to my Jesus with all that I am

Trusting each moment is part of Your plan

Though life keeps changing and people depart

Your grace stays forever inside my heart
