Every night at midnight

The purple clouds came out

To dance with the blushing sky

~~~~~
Beneath the periwinkle clouds
Dolphins flew majestically
Synchronised aerobatics
~~~~~

Marionettes being pulled

Though the lavender haze

Starfishes twirled skyward

~~~~~
Seahorses gravitised by the moon
Formed a vertical magenta chain
Hooking tails to snouts
~~~~~

Nymphs swirled up the chain

Raced to touch the moon

Left a glittery trail of lilac glow

~~~~~
The moon turned burgundy
Smiled and sparkled jubilantly
Sashayed emitting lightnings
~~~~~

Amethyst ripples on the surface

The sky dropped its diamonds

Waves celebrated the reunion

    Your vivid imagery showcased by your incomparable descriptive language of this poem just shines through to breath-takingly! I love the whimsical feel of it and yet it has such a realistic feel as the images you painted dance in the forefront of my mind! Still as beautiful as I remember it being the first time!

    Dear Dhar - You had me at "Purpureus" - put that into your translator and see what it comes up with? - *Miss you, are you taking a finger-stretching break from all of your type-tapping - Whew, who could blame you? J-Bud

    This was really beautiful Dharrsheena! I love your use of descriptive language that creates vivid imagery and how it tells such a magical story! I also love your use of personification to create an elegant form of movement for each creature, that feels so realistic but yet so imaginative! This was simply breath taking, I am in awe of your skill with words! πŸ’œ
