Femme Fatale
A, um, double ended Abecedarian Inverse. Because what is a life with no regrets?
Aquamarine and bottomless topaz.
Borrowed where she cannot buy,
Covetous of sheen, and glamour and sex
Dreaming held in tightened bow,
Engaged is she, and Mazel Tov!
Full of plans, nothing impromptu.
Gleeful at what she can net,
Heedless of the petty risks
Iridescent as the day draws near,
Jesting all will need a tranq.
Keen to author the full line-up,
Leaves on the plan, ready to go.
Minute precise, the sewer’s train
Now to veil the lady's charm,
Over the top, no chink, no tell,
Pledge to a team and make it work.
Quell the naysayers, hold her Raj
Regal, adorned, no ennui,
Steal the crown in breathless hush,
To gain the prize she’s wanting,
Under their eyes, to fulfil the brief
Vying for the greatest pride
Will fixed to succeed,
Xeric hearts and minds of logic,
Yearnings require a climb,
Zeniths call for megalomania.

Authors note: This morning, I took a walk before work, and decided it would be enormously fun, surely, to write an abecedarian in which I then inverted the alphabet for the closing letter of each line, whilst simultaneously writing an inverse poem also. Well, it is fair to say I am not always right.

A Sorry Letter
Dear Me, I wanted to sit for a bit and write this letter to you. To tell you how sorry I am for what I've put you through. To let you know it was not my intention to purposely put you through this pain over and over again. I just want you to hear me out, and if at the end of this letter you choose not to forgive me that is fine with me I will understand.

Epic effort from you to combine two challenges into one, then also make an Abecedarian even harder! This would have been quite the task I imagine. “Borrowed where she cannot buy” is such a good line, and brings a great image of thieving to mind. Well done on taking this on 👏

Omg. A difficult abecedarian combined with an inverse, and it actually makes sense. I'm impressed. I wrote a difficult Abeced once. It wasn't even a reverse and swear I needed a lobotomy after. Aren't ready for yours, or have you recovered naturally?
Hehe, I don't know but I got Deadpool's voice going off in my head yelling "Maximum EFFORT!" Your poem kind of reminds me of "Ocean's 8," but I'm getting more of a "Charlie's Angel's" vibe from it. It also reminds me of a top story from a few months ago about a lady who wrote about the pigeon holes women were put into in Hollywood and media in general, especially that female Fatales were supposed to be sexually alluring and then punished for being sex objects that didn't align with the male protagonist. You should check out Pop Culture Detective, he made a great video about it. One of the best femme Fatales I've seen recently was Ruby Rose playing Ares in John Wick 2.

Talk about complications and gray hair. This was a quadruple challenge with the fourth part being not to curse anyone out who dares to interrupt you while crafting, lol. Well done!!!
