Embrace Your Symphony Of Life

The Art Of Living

One can only hope to see an end that included a full heart,

For the fullest of hearts had led the most fulfilled lives they could,

In the end, the roads traveled may not be the ones in which you'll start,

If only we could see the journey before we start, and find happiness we all would.

None of us knows how we will be in the end,

Alone and miserable, a shadow of our grand plan,

Or blessed enough to be with our lifelong friend,

For a full and joyous life is not the fate of every man.

Some players in this game never end up with a win,

And no matter the tries they make, they come up short anyway,

For the fates are there guiding your path the day you begin,

For fate is not something over which you hold any sway.

Into the darkness and never the light,

A soft bed for you until your final sleep,

That is the lonely fate of those that go running into the fight,

As the fates stand on the sideline waiting for when it's your soul one will reap.

This life is full of choices and such,

Some take you to heaven and others to hell,

Along the way, you better have learned much,

So you'll know where you're going when you hear the bell.

The fates are coming for us all one day,

Nothing about it we can do,

There's a common debt that both rich men and poor men pay,

So use your time and have nothing left to rue.

Love long and hard,

Be of good deed,

Wander out into life's yard,

And plant your legacy seed.

Leave behind more good than bad,

And never have a regret,

For the fate's plans for you don't have to be sad,

If only you manage to make the right bet.

Be beautiful and explore this fabulous place,

Never forget from which way you came,

Etch memories in your mind of ever single face,

Remembering how none were ever the same.

Fear not the endlessness of tasks that get you there,

Enjoy the work that you choose,

Do not depend on life to be fair,

For doing so means it's your mind you shall lose.

Kiss someone every chance you get,

And remember the special ones more,

Dip your toes into the ocean and feel them get wet,

Take those memories with you when you cross into death's door.

Try to hold onto the ones that matter,

For losing them is a special kind of pain,

Let not their leaving make your lives sadder,

Let them imagine you still innocently dancing in the rain.

Be happy each day, the best that you can,

And if you fall short of that remember what you learned,

Pick yourself up and concoct a new plan,

Never surrender to the darkness or you'll get burned.

Cast off that dark anchor you wear,

Live like there's no tomorrow,

Don't wait for life to become fair,

And you'll live a life with less sorrow.

I've been thinking about fate lately. Do you have the power to make your own destiny

  • I'm so glad life isn't fair. If it was, I'd be in a whole lot of doo-doo.
