Darkness in Love

Apart

A veil descends on flowers,

birds stop their song and peek,

a silent whisper covers all

no leaf moves, and the wind

is dying slowly in a corner

breeze gone, song still

what is this velvet peace

ominous and caressing

deceiving

and inviting

into another world

of senses?

***

In looking for emotions

I lost my way, and candle

burned bright while sun was failing,

this darkness that unfolds

melted candle

and hope.

Should I run, stay,

or hide,

can demons see my soul

look into spirit,

do they know

I hold dear

each memory of waterfall

each trapped desire that came true

each laugh I heard

from you?

***

Would you come if you knew

do you remember us

the home

that weaved our hearts?

On ivy threshold

I left the other world,

roses wrapped windows

guarding love

that stayed and glowed

how did it all end

and go wild

am I free or forlorn

forgotten or beloved?

***

Have you gone beyond clouds

am I to look to you,

a specter

for last redemption drop

and hope,

can you come back

would you hold hands

one silver twilight and caress

one happy dream,

memory,

and a song

one treasure to hold

and believe

there is a way

to sunny home.

***

Deep in the forest

of undreamed horrors,

love lights the way,

care breaks the dawn.
