In the barren lands of Northern Texas

Where anomalies of nature are not rare

A creature roams whose existence perplexes

Historians and scholars who may care.

~

First seen in the Arizona desert,

Reported in Wyoming long ago,

It's said to have left tracks in Colorado,

And Canada and even Mexico.

~

The Danasaur is known to be reclusive,

Although it once had family and friends.

Its reticence is thought to be a product

Of current norms and recent social trends.

~

In fact, it's been observed to loudly bellow

In subsequent reaction to the pain

Of dealing with the “more evolved” examples

Of a species it believes has gone insane.

~

Advanced in age and somehow still surviving,

Its history depicts a life lived full,

Despite severely limited intelligence

Due, mostly, to the thickness of its skull.

Gosh, do you ever wonder how far they roamed, or if they just had a set area? Did they go from state to state (as we now know them) or was it his cousin. I wonder the same thing about single birds and why they have chosen the neighborhood they are in. Nice job.

  • Awesome writing, keep it up!
