The Dude Motel
Creativity is a funny, elusive thing. I had always considered myself a creative person, but I had no outlet for it, no creative product I could point to. I play the guitar badly, with no sense of rhythm, and singing was out with my inability to carry a tune. My drawing and painting skills never progressed beyond simple stick figures. But writing. I wanted to be a writer, yet when I tried to put pencil to paper no words would come forth. I would sit quietly, feeling the story, the feeling I wished to capture, but it remained elusively out of reach. I was consumed by fear and couldn't move forward.

Photo Editing in Different Apps
Anyone who has dabbled in photography even a little knows that it's nearly impossible to take the perfect photo while out and about with your camera. Never fear, however, for with today's technology, you can take a dark imperfect photo and work a little editing magic to make it a photo you love showing off. Today, I'm going to show you my different ways of editing a photo that I primarily use. For both examples, I'll be using the photo from above. This photo was taken during the summer of 2020 at the Badlands National Park. I shot this photo on my Canon EOS REBEL T5i. As you can see, it's a bit dark, and not necessarily the most pleasing to look at. A lot of the details are lost.

My Photo Editing Process
Introduction When I was emailed about a new VOCAL.MEDIA challenge to explain 'your photo-editing processes', I knew I'd be spending hours on this submission. LOL. It's all good. To be more honest, I was also thinking to myself: 'This is going to be a long day'. It's not that my process is difficult. The problem I have with creating things is that I tend to GO AN EXTRA MILE. And; to be honest, I've been editing photos and 'beautifying' EBOOK cover-arts for a VERY LONG TIME. It's almost unfair to expect the average person to do what I do and have access to the programs and experience that I have.

For the Fun of It
Digital photography has been both blessing and curse for amateur photographers. It makes excellent photography truly accessible to the masses. But the seemingly endless array of cameras, lenses, gadgets, options, editing programs, and good advice can be intimidating. Even worse, with 7.6 billion people on the planet there are so many gifted professional photographers and so much truly wonderful photography in every media outlet it's hard not to feel discouraged before you begin.

How to Edit your Pictures with Airbrush
Don’t own a professional camera? Don’t have any clue what you’re doing when it comes to photography? No problem. I don’t own a professional camera either and less than a year ago, I had no idea what I was doing when it came to photography. I am by no means a professional now either, but I do like how my pictures turn out after editing them. I am someone who loves to travel and I take as many pictures as possible so that I have lasting memories of my trips. About two months into the pandemic, I was really bored during lockdown, so I decided to create a travel account on Instagram to share my pictures. All my pictures are taken with my iPhone and I honestly don’t feel the need to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on a professional camera.
