Vanity might be a vice and while focussing on how you look too heavily can lead to disaster, I'm here to argue that a little bit of vanity is a healthy thing.

One bright, Sunday afternoon I stretched across the arms of the overstuffed recliner in the family den, with a yellow memo pad in hand. Scrawled in cursive rows I had listed out some of the nicer items I could easily crochet, and, while chewing on the end of my pen, I was wracking my brain to figure out how I should price them. I was in middle school at the time, and had been crocheting regularly for about 3 years.
