Are Your Unconscious Habits Making You Unhappy?
It is not world we live in that determines our level of pain and suffering. Rather, it is our perception of this world and our attitude towards difficulties that may impact the level of our gratitude and happiness. I often find that my perception of same situations quite differed from my friends; some of them chose to complain when I tried my best to see opportunities when facing obstacles. I once asked a friend why they cannot appreciate the world we live in, and her answer was very insightful, she said, “Because not everyone lives in your world.”

Writing on Vocal: My Self Challenge
Four years ago, I was browsing through my facebook feed when I saw a link that a friend had shared on his page. It told of a website that writers could go on and share their work with other writers. I had been looking for something like this forever, so I immediately clicked. On this site, which was appropriately named Vocal, there were tons of categories to write about, and best of all, we could obtain earnings for it. I quickly created an account, picked the best picture of me I could, and I was set. In my mind, I saw images of me sitting at book signings at my favorite bookstore after I wrote my bestselling book. I was on my way to the top. There was just one little bitty catch: I had to start writing.

Idolize or Be Your Own Powerful Being
From the very beginning of life, we start to shape ourselves in light of someone. Being a little bit mature, we tend to set someone or something as a standard of life. This is termed Idolization. We start to idolize others when it is time to be our own powerful being, and that’s what drags us down in the run of life.

Remember The Boiling Frog
It’s likely you may have heard of the old analogy of a frog who was put in a pot of cold water where it was moving and bouncing around happily. The frog was content with the temperature of the water and was content to be there even though it was constrained by the pot of water it found itself in. However, what the frog doesn’t know but as the analogy describes, the pot of water was controlled by a person who could raise the temperature quite quickly or increase the heat slowly and see the frog’s reaction.

The Sting . Top Story - July 2021.
Today, I woke up with butterflies in my stomach, and hope in my heart as I opened the internet browser on my phone and typed in “Vocal/Challenges”. I’d been impatiently waiting for days to find out the results of the Dystopian “Doomsday Diary” Challenge. I’d submitted four stories, with one in particular that I was so excited about. So, as I skimmed down the page to the recent winners, my exuberant smile started to dim as the reality hit: I didn’t win… again. I read the winning story and it was indeed fantastic, but there was still a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes when I realized it wasn’t mine.

What Makes You Productive
Assume you wake up one day, and your father asks what you want in your life son? So, you just reply that I want to be like this, or I want to be like that in my life. At that instant, you share your inhibition with your father. But somewhat you just confuse in your mind. Yeah, you said that to your father about your interest, but you also know, that whatever you said to your father is for the sake to answer the question.

Getting Familiar with the Vocal Media Communities and Publishing Articles More Effectively : Part-01
Sometimes, in spite of writing in a good style, we cannot get many reads and get frustrated. Vocal Media has a number of Communities. Having a good knowledge about these communities is an added advantage, especially to find the right kind of audience. Vocal Media s a platform of both readers and writers. After signing up, readers choose specific communities in which they are interested. So, each community holds a specific type of audience. For example, somebody has written a fiction but published that on a different community like humans. In that case, it will be very difficult to find the best readers. We will try to familiarize you with the communities on Vocal Media in three parts. Below is the part One.

Custom Suit Mentality
A good imagination can be a terrible thing to waste. I want to start out by imagining if you would dress up each day of your life in a ‘custom suit’ meaning a matching jacket, freshly pressed dress shirt, and a sleek tie that is color coordinated. You can even add a nice pair of trousers and a vest to make it a three-piece suit. The key point to keep in mind is that it’s good to think of yourself dressed to the nines, looking like you put so much effort into your appearance that you have this aura of confidence that can command attention, light up a room, and boost your ability to get things done.
