say goodbye to the many memories that have gone

Still Grow

Happy Sunday! How's the weekend going? Exciting? For those of you who have vacation plans, who last night had quality time with loved ones – appreciate and enjoy the present moment, wrapped in a belief that the present time is what is currently going on. Moments that may not be repeated in the future, or even forgotten by themselves because of one or two major events.

Now, let's talk about roles. A burden that sometimes doesn't feel like a burden, but is real on our shoulders. The role as a parent must always provide what is appropriate for children and families. It is the role as a student that makes us carry the expectations of people who expect us to succeed, and that makes us also have to maintain a portfolio of grades to always be good. Our role as workers will definitely make us dizzy managing finances and force ourselves to keep doing 9 to 5 activities everyday. Roles as a teacher, service provider, friend, cousin, brother-in-law, and many more – which are sure to take up a lot of our energy at any time. Sometimes there are things that make you mentally confused.

Even though I've often talked about this, my life did change 180 degrees after mom left. I don't feel the warmth of family anymore. In fact, everything is almost divided because of many misunderstandings. The simplest part, like experiencing my mother's cooking and the chili sauce she made with her own hands – somehow makes me feel so lost. There were people who said that she would be as good as a mother to me– but in fact she wasn't really there. Maybe it's just me expecting too much. In fact, it's just a word of entertainment. Like the words people use to lie to small children so they stop crying.

So, friends... if one day someone tells you that he will be a replacement for the missing figure in your life, thank him, but don't ever expect much from that sentence. The people who have been in your life, can never be replaced by anyone. That is the first reason. And the second reason why you don't need to believe in sentences like that deeply is because not everyone will feel at home with us who have lost many things in life. We are ultimately nobody and have nothing. While humans... they will think twice about being difficult. Except in their eyes there really is affection. That might make some sense.

I do not think that all humans can not be trusted. Those who come into your life may have different faces and sincerity. But the point is... stop making other humans as a reason to stay alive and excited. Even though yes they and we have shared a bed and a plate of rice, even though yes we and they have cried and were happy together because of one moment, even though yes we and they were comrades in arms in their time – that doesn't guarantee anything at all. Remember, right, what I said? Time will reverse everything. Including human feelings and hearts.

So, say goodbye to memories that once made you feel close to someone. Say goodbye to memories that make you feel worthy of continued attention and love. Accept the fact that some things are not meant to be the same. Some moments in our lives must be lived without the support of people who have supported us. Maybe God wants to educate us to be stronger?! Or... He wants to make us more prepared for one more big loss in the future. And everything that's okay.
