Miracles, in the sense of phenomena we cannot explain, surround us on every hand: life itself is the miracle of miracles. George Bernard Shaw

If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change. Buddha

I believe that miracles happen every day. Every person is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. If only we can open our eyes, we’ll see God’s love everywhere. Bo Sanchez

Albert Einstein coined the now-familiar phrase “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

I choose the latter. How about you? Life is indeed miraculous!

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. -Albert Einstein

The miracle of life. Yes, for me all life is indeed a miracle. Consider the transformation of a caterpillar into a magnificent Blue Butterfly. Is it especially miraculous? When you come across the unassuming caterpillar in your garden you probably will not give it a second glance. But when the exquisite Blue Butterfly crosses your path. Well, you are honored, yes?

A miracle has just taken place in your garden. In your life. Butterflies exist for such a short time, but this one has honored you with her presence. And she has made you smile. Are you grateful?

Have you ever stopped and wondered just how many miracles take place in your garden every day? You most probably have a tree or two, yes?

Now, let us together consider the miracle that is a tree. It gives us life. It, as all life needs food. It miraculously creates its own through a process we have termed photosynthesis. Where all green plants use the sunlight to turn carbon dioxide and water into sugars. They then provide you with life-giving oxygen. Each moment of their life they are sustaining yours. A miracle — yes? Are you grateful?

What else do your trees do for you? Well, this will depend on the kinds of trees you have. Some bear fruits to eat and preserve. Some bear magnificent flowers with scents that drift into your house. They all provide shade on a hot summer’s day. Some may provide refuge for birds, squirrels and others to nest and bear their young. Ants scurry amongst the leaf litter.

The list is endless for the miraculous functions of the trees in your garden.

The birds in the branches sing a welcoming chorus to each new day. God the Creator did something extra-spectacular when He chose to create a tree. All life is miraculous even the trees, and the life they support, in your garden.

When I think of Albert Einstein’s phrase I ask myself is God the Father looking into my heart and soul? Does He see the wonder I feel at all of His creation?

If I were to look into a microscope and see life on this level. Again miracles scurrying, surviving and doing as they should.

Life, all life touches my heart and soul deeply. I praise God the Creator.

I love visiting the seaside. It has always been a place of magic for me.

Do you have a place that is steeped in majesty, awe and magic? What for you does it mean to live every moment as though everything is a miracle?

I have had the wonder and privilege of SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Life is so abundant in these tropical, warm and azure waters. I have chased tropical fish. Touched coral of colours, that I a professional artist could never imitate. To say the Great Barrier Reef is a miracle of abundant life. Yes oh yes! I am eternally grateful!

How you engage in the natural world is entirely different from anyone else. Do you see nature as the cradle of life? Nature has so many complex dimensions all fitting together just so.

If you don’t look at all life as a miracle. Can you give yourself an opportunity here to do so? Give yourself a chance to glimpse life as a miraculous event?

The miracle of a thirty-year-old green turtle returning to the very same beach where she was born to lay her eggs. Thirty years is a very long time to remember exactly which beach to return to. The miracle of a blue whale’s very long annual migration. The miracle of the life and unconditional love of your beloved dog.

The miracle of the pesky fly that keeps annoying you on your family picnic. Have you ever wondered how amazing it is that he can avoid your hand as you try to swat him?

All life is a miracle. All life remains a miracle regardless of whether or not you acknowledge this.

The difference being is in you. By acknowledging the miraculous of all life you are also inviting change within you. You are inviting a new way of viewing life in all its glory.

Life is no longer ordinary or mundane. Even that pesky fly is a miracle of adaptability. You will see everything has its place and its purpose. Even the pesky fly!

When you choose to see everything as a miracle nothing for you will remain ordinary or mundane. You will see the trees in your garden as the miracles that they are. And give thanks. You can then start to experience the rest of your life through the lens of love.

Reflect on life and what it means to you to live life as a miracle.

You now live each day recognizing life is truly miraculous, don’t you? There are three essential components that you need to embody as part of your life: gratitude, forgiveness and love. These attributes must come naturally from your heart.

The healing and cleansing of forgiveness remove fear and gives you peace. True forgiveness will shine a light on your dark times of worry and despair.

True gratitude and an attitude of thankfulness accepting that all life is a miracle rise you above petty problems. Gratitude opens your heart to the wonder of nature and your place in it.

Love is the key that unlocks your heart and soul to the wonder and amazement of all of life’s miracles.

For me, a miracle is not something supernatural or unexpected. For me, a miracle is a divine love being transformed into life by the Finger of God.

Living your life as if everything is a miracle gives you a reason to be in awe. Your life has tragedies and sadness. We all do. But, when you live life accepting that everything is miracle gratitude for your life abounds.

This deep sense of gratitude will not erase all your troubles. I have found that it brings a sense of calm and peace in bad times. When I force myself to get dressed and take a stroll, nature reminds me of her miracles again.

Again, I am blessed. The problems haven’t vanished. My attitude has changed. I am aware and present to the miracles around me again.

And, the greatest miracle of them all, dear one. The miracle of you! You Are Alive!

The miracle and amazement of your five senses.

When you take a stroll in your garden. You touch the bark of one of your trees. You sense its rough texture. You smell the sweet scent from its leaf. The clouds fluttering in the blue sky are seen through the wonder of your eyes. You taste the bitterness of the leaf on your lips and tongue. You hear the rustle of the wind in the trees.

Now, another miracle. The miracle of the human brain. It makes understanding all your five senses.

This gives you pause about your very existence. Your very life also is a miracle. You gaze up to Heaven and give thanks!
