"I love who you are as a person... as a woman"
There are many strong, fearless women that we look up to; that come in all come in different shapes and sizes. They make us better people, by motivating us, having our backs and anything else that is contributing positive vibes our way. So my inspirational woman is myself. Now I don't want to sound shallow. But from birth until now (21) I have motivated and inspired myself to be a better person. I've had countless days of looking into the mirror and having prep talks to uplift my spirit. I taught myself to start taking a breather when things were getting to rough; and to re-approach those same situations with a different mindset and better attitude. I have some good days, and I have had some bad days. And I have overcame the most challenging situations. So I give myself a pat on the back for picking my head up.

Unappreciated - Love
I think when we hear the word love the first thing that comes to mind is the romantic , intimate ; type of love. The smell of roses , the sound of ocean waves, feeling the sun on our skin, watching a heart warming movie, spending time with a loved one or feeling empowered by someone you love and admire are all types of love that we oftentimes forget to consider and are often left underapperciated.

When Writing Feels Like a Chore
Ever since I signed up for Vocal (back in 2018, I think), it has been my goal to write more. It's always been a huge passion of mine, and to get paid for writing about whatever I want?! It couldn't get more perfect.

My Ocean of Thoughts
Have you ever had one of those nights where you just can't fall asleep? A vast landslide of thoughts come rushing through your head like its not something that's ending soon, endless chaos and conversation with different persona you created in your head for that certain scenario. Well, I HAVE. In fact that's why I'm writing this right now.

My greatest accomplishments
Accomplishing any task can be difficult. Some are definitely harder than others, but I think any accomplishment can be seen as a huge feat, especially when it comes to shaping someone's future. For some people, it's a massive accomplishment to wake up in the morning, and for others, it's a difficult task just to go to bed at night. No matter how big or small, each and every accomplishment does a lot to shape you into the person you are, because each decision made to make that accomplishment shows a lot about your personal character.

Dealing with Loss
Losing a loved one, a parent, partner, child, a fur baby, your job, your home, a way of life, a relationship... all are losses we recognise as difficult experiences that produces a hole in us, and take us on an emotional journey of sadness, heartbreak, physical pain, and then hopefully healing and recovery.

Choosing Life
I graduated college in the Summer of 2017. I worked hard during school, competing and winning a writing competition, trying to get the best grades I could, officer positions in a club and anything else I could do that would make me stand out on a resume.

Coronavirus - An Opportunity to Self Reflect?
For the first time in a very loooong time, I am sitting quietly, alone, in my condo (that comes with a mortgage payment I now can't afford), in a state of desperation as a bar/lounge owner that is now shut down in the hopes of flattening the curve of the rate of infection of the brand new Coronavirus. A cascade of panic grips me, and I am going down the rabbit hole of OMFG, how am I going to pay the mountain of bills that had already piled up? I was already skating on thin financial ice, and this... This is going to push me over the edge to insolvency. And my beloved staff...How can I help them get through this? Why wasn't I smarter about these things? Didn't I do this for a living in my prior life? Where did all my financial skills go?? Why didn't I save more, why did I run for office, why did I buy the condo? Why why why? So much guilt and SMH moments, so many should haves and could haves... I've been torturing myself since the shutdown and we are only two days into the ban. There is three more weeks to go. Three weeks is a long time for a business with very small margins to get through. And that's if the virus is contained after these three weeks...

Just Another, Ordinary, Extraordinary Life -
They say every great writer is essentially telling the story of themselves over and over, that they imbue every character with someone they are, someone they know or someone they want to be. The people I discuss in the pages to come are people I love, people I hate, people I know, and to spice things up some people I wish I never knew. This is the story of people who are bold, beautiful and true, and it’s also the story of people who are poisonous, venomous and undeniably insane. This is the story of the good times and the bad, the ones that can shatter your heart into a million little pieces. This is my story, as seen through my eyes. It is the story of what it is to be me. Because I am equal parts whimsical, inspired and ADHD, the story of my life is best expressed as a collective of short stories with no real rhyme or reason linking them beyond the fact each story deserved to be told. There are stories of opportunity, stories of regret, stories of amazing moments and stories of devastation. They are the stories that make up a life both ordinary and extraordinary. To protect the identities of the innocent and the guilty I have assigned pseudonyms and obscured identifying details. For the people I love, I do it to protect their privacy, and for the people I hate, I make only a token effort so that when they are easily identifiable for the poison they are, I can at least claim to have tried. This is a story of me. At times I will employ artistic license, because sometimes it is not the facts of the moment that matter, it is how you live through the moment, and how the moment shapes your life that matters. This book is dedicated to all of the individuals who found a place in my story, and is a homage to embracing positivity and enthusiasm in even the darkest of times. It is dedicated to all those seeking the courage to walk their own path, and seek their own happiness. This is the story of my ordinary and sometimes extraordinary life.
