Patricia A Divine Teacher
Patricia is a great person. It's in her to help you to be the best you can be in all that you do. She will never give up on you. You can always talk to her. She will be a friend closer than any other. Patricia is a teacher at heart. You can always learn something from her, if you are eager to learn she has time to teach. She is a great teacher who was very inspirational in my life. She was more than a teacher; she is a friend, a mother, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt and a pastor who gave unconditional love to all who cross her path.

What a Gal?
As I sit in my room, contemplating the events in my life; I clearly envision the one person who breathed life into my broken soul, who made me realise my potential and innate talents through continuous support, uplifting gestures and positive attitude. My mentor, my friend, my support, and a true gem: she was and still remains my motivation to achieve the best. Zarmina Shakeel, the principal for a school that I joined almost 18 years ago, saw in me what even I couldn’t see.

Free or Fettered? That is the Question
Divorcee? One painstaking inhale, and I sniffed it on my skin. He wasn't exactly present, loving, or emotionally available, but at least I belonged; at least he was familiar. On April 17, 2018, I officially belonged to someone I no longer knew...myself. My own ambiguity walked over to me as I wept on the carpet, and it sat on my chest. Roots were all I desired. To feel home wrap around me like a crocheted blanket, a keepsake from grandma drenched in memories made, became my longing for myself and my three children.

What Helped Me Out in Financially Tough Times (Mindset)
I used to work gigs for income. There was a very long period of time when I wasn't getting any work at all. Money was tight. I would feel irritated anytime I had to go out and buy food. My reputation got ugly. I thought none of my friends liked me anymore. I created so much pain, hurt, frustration, self-pity anytime I went out. So I just couldn't even go out anymore. I had given up on my goals, I was binge eating tons of food. I was just watching Netflix to distract myself from the pain. I goddamn self quarantined myself months before this all happen.

Don't Be Afraid of Your Fears
Fear is a complex emotional event manifesting itself in various forms and affecting each individual in a uniquely personal manner. Rational fear is an instinctive defense mechanism, an intuitive warning of potential danger. It’s your body and mind saying, “Hold on a minute. Let’s think about this.”

Women Who Inspire Us
Some women are creators, some are nurturers, while others are great teachers and mentors. Some women have magic in their hearts and are a great source of light for others. Louise Hay has and always will be my true inspiration - a woman I admire so deeply in my heart. When I listen to her audio affirmations or read her books, I feel as though she is talking to me, she has given me the greatest gift, that is, the gift of learning to self-heal, self-belief, self-nurture and of-course SELF-LOVE.

Focus on the Destination, but prepare for the Journey
Have you ever had a morning where everything just went right? I have. I am talking a hop, skip and a jump from fairytale. Birds almost singing at my window as i didn't have to fight with my hair, eyebrows almost like twins, close sisters at most and the 3lbs i lost seemed to help that blouse sit just that little bit better on my shrinking belly. I mean this morning was just great. I was ... feeling myself. Not literally, but feeling good and optimistic about the day ahead. I had to go into the office and even though its a germ trap i felt OK about it. I had a my coffee in my travel mug , sun is shining. I was looking like the cocoa Esmeralda as my bouncy peruvian bundles tumbled onto my shoulders. I mean i was serving hair and FACE hunnty! So I placed my manicured size 8s into my diamante strappy wedges. Grabbed my light jacket, my work bag, stepped out into the sunshine and locked the door.

Regretting deeply
I am struggling. Struggling to make meaning from the more unfortunate events which have taken place in my life. Ruminating over what I could, should or would have done has halted any movement. Although that's not completely true; I am simply failing to move forwards, going back seems to be no problem.
