Assumption
Feet curling, nails digging, teeth bared, tight skin, wide eyes and dishevelled hair. Clammy palms and dry knuckles used to wipe every ounce of blood, sweat and tears, that appear to pour out every minute. Muscles tense with every movement, causing pain to shoot through me, resulting in a spasm like that of a fish being electrocuted. I gaze up to face my abuser of my suffering, knowing they're very well thinking, "Your time is up, say goodbye". Yet though, as I receive another wound, I reach the peak, and shout finally..

Beautiful Pain
We all feel frustrated some times in our lives, at different stages of it and for many different reasons, pain, some times could be one of those reasons, whether it’s physical, mental or spiritual pain, but, as in anything and everything in life we choose the way we see it, we choose to learn from it or let us be consumed by it, Beautiful pain poem intends to reconcile you with this type of feeling, to reassure you that no matter the kind of pain you are experiencing right now, it will only go away if you learn its lesson, if you understand it, if you forgive it and let it go, if you know that you are not the only one in the world with pain but on the contrary most of us have it if not all.

Breaking News
I admit it. I’ve been watching too much CNN recently. I’m spending unhealthy amounts of my time tuned in to Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, and Don Lemon; hanging on Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s every word, and feeling deep concern for reporters fallen ill with Covid-19. (Get well soon, Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin. We miss you!) Honestly? It’s round-the-clock news consumption, gorging myself on terrifying statistics and numbers that grow exponentially by the hour. In fairness, it feels like no one wants to miss a single update on the unfolding coronavirus pandemic. It’s become our national pastime.

Healthy and Tender
We never like to admit it, but there IS a part of us that actually care about what people think of us. If you're having trouble admitting that reality, let me tell you that it's normal and it's very understandable. All of us want to be known for something positive and not something disgusting. Yeah I know, disgusting is a strong word, but I can only speak from my own experiences. I've felt like others had built this whole character in their heads about me, for whatever reason. And because of that, it made me in a lot of ways resent those people. The crazy thing is that I never knew if those thoughts were actually true. So what if I was forming a story in my mind that was just my own assumptions? What if I was the reason I've always felt alone? What if I'm the reason why I can't trust nobody I surround myself with? What if I'm the reason I've built this hate for my life? These are questions that constantly ran through my mind. Then I think... What if I'm right? What if my gut is telling the truth? You know what they say, right? "Go with your gut feeling!" So let's say these things are true. Let's say they have built this idea of who you are, and even though it's not displayed publicly, it's definitely obvious. You then have a choice to make. Choice number one is that you can react, blow everything up in their face, prove you're not an idiot, and leave. Then there's choice number two. You can pray about it. Pray that your heart won't be harden and that you won't grow bitter, and pray that your heart will remain tender.
