Radical Authenticity as a Path to Well-Being
We are living through unprecedented times in all areas of the world. Darkness seems to be floating to the surface everywhere it can and we are being forced to try and understand it; or more so, understand what it needs from us. Individually, interpersonally, and collectively we are being given the chance to confront the foundations of what keeps us in fear or in any level of dis-ease. Where it manifests as a challenge and where we can also choose to see this as an opportunity for personal growth! Life as we know it is changing radically, and what could possibly be more radical than absolute authenticity?

When money talk
When you think in the terms of money what comes to mind? In a constantly changing world the way we make money is some want a fantasy compared to the 90’s. New technology and tends springing to life day by day. How do we keep up? A lot of Americans are facing financial hardship, but how do we get over this hump? As a kid my parents all ways told me to save, save, save for that rainy day.

The Tao of Listening
One should listen to others carefully, and with attention. Do not be hasty to speak before you have heard what others have to say. In classical Taoism, the sage said very little, or nothing, if nothing was most appropriate. Speaking before hearing is egotistical, can lead to hurt feelings, and sometimes, grievous errors.

There's Something Liberating About Being Lost
We got lost looking for the Grand Canyon. The GPS in my sisters' car almost always got her where she needed to go. Emphasis on 'almost'. The one time it didn’t was when we left our hotel room on Saturday, got into her minivan and turned it on; our location? The Grand Canyon Visitors Center. And then we were off. We drove along a highway but soon got off it into a road lined with the scrubby desert trees, snow and ice still clinging to the earth on presidents day weekend in February.

Coming Out
Hey everyone! I am Juliana. I grew up in a dysfunctional family. Would you guys like to hear about them? Haha! My dad suffers from depression. He had a difficult time at work in the civil service due to vicious office politics. He was passed over for promotion multiple times and felt empty. And I CAN UNDERSTAND how someone in that circumstance can feel empty.

This is the Law - moths always fly into the fire
"How do I get other people to pay attention to me?" Every person and situation is different. Our needs for acceptance and recognition vary to a great degree. Some people could care less while others need lots of love. It's perfectly normal. We are all unique no matter how universal some basic human behaviors are.

Why Am I Now Procrastinating Instead of Writing My First Viral post?
Her look describes exactly how I feel. I am wondering to myself “Why am I now procrastinating instead of writing my first viral post?” I sat down to finish a post I’ve been working on about 1 and 1/2 hours ago. Unlike the disciplined steps, I took yesterday. I didn’t ask Siri to set a 50-minute timer today.

Motivate!
It's no secret that COVID is being a huge pain in our daily lifestyles. For one, some of us haven't had the luck of being called back by our jobs to begin working again. I was that lucky, fortunately, but not before almost 3 months of hunkered down quarantine time. Nothing like being told by your job to stay home and don't come back for a couple weeks and having those weeks turn into months to completely demoralize you. With this story and playlist combined, I hope it helps you the same way my playlist helped me!

Present Day Madness
For those of you who do not know me, just know that I am a creative that is trying to make way for myself during all of this mania. I am a small business owner, I am a woman of color, I am a military veteran, I am a writer, I am a poet, I am.....insert something else cool and maybe interesting. At the top of this year, like most of us, I had a plan of attack. I was going to quit the corporate food job that I was currently working because it felt soul sucking, I had made plans to be able to do that transition in a way that was safe to me for me financially and then some things happened - the world as I knew it imploded on itself and I've been on this roller coaster ever since. It started with a series of wild events that prompted me to walk out of my job months before I was going to because I was sick of all of it and it felt like a toxic environment had just boiled over. Then I got crazy sick out of nowhere to the point that I thought I was going to die and I didn't know what this was and more importantly where any of it came from. It was 3 weeks of hell that started as what I thought was a UTI, then possibly a kidney infection, then landed on me shivering and shaking on the couch so hard that my teeth felt like they were going to crack upon sheer impact. I made it out of that though, on the otherside of a disease that is and has been killing people all year. Its terrifying.

Watching The Parade From A Different Vantage Point
Watching The Parade From a Different Vantage Point (excerpt from my book) Chapter 1 Watching the parade from a different vantage point is an analogy for seeing something from a different perspective. When you understand the fundamental Wäsü Philosophy you will then began to see life from a different perspective, and at times more than one. Being able to view life situations from different perspectives gives balance. This balance is the result of being able to weigh the different variables of life's situations giving deeper insight into everything on a whole. Having this deeper insight helps one live peaceful and harmoniously.

Motivation
“In ancient times, a king had his men place a boulder on a roadway. He then hid in the bushes, and watched to see if anyone would move the boulder out of the way. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers passed by and simply walked around it.
