Dear Lockdown, Thank you for Saving my Life
Dear Lockdown, I must admit that when I first heard about you, my instinct and reaction was fear. I felt it in the pit of my stomach then rise up into my throat. But that fear was more centered on what brought you to us, the ferryman of death, Covid-19. You were but a passenger, you yourself, I didn't fear necessarily. In truth I didn't really know what to think, but I decided that if I had any choice in the matter, I would try to make you a friend instead of a foe.

When Nameless Finally Has Its Day
Seven years ago, I started writing what will soon become my first, fully furnished novel titled, Nameless. Since beginning writing it, I have often pondered on my audience’s response to it, asking myself questions like: Will they like it? Will they be offended? Does it make them uncomfortable? How relatable is this story? How realistic can this story be? Who am I to write from this perspective that exists totally apart from me? Well, those are questions I likely will not be able to answer until my book is actually finished and put into print. Those are also the kinds of questions that have made this journey writing it that much more challenging to complete. My first and most important hope is for Nameless to become a best-selling trilogy. But if—better yet—WHEN that happens, there are a few things I surely aim to do. In addition to being able to claim reaching my ultimate career goal, I intend to escape financial disparity, pave the way for my novel’s remaining trilogy works, and create more opportunities for myself to expand my writing to other avenues.

Finding Pandemic Pleasantries
“Hurry along with getting your directions and equipment so we can get out of here,” the boss of my boss pops into the conference room in the middle of March. There was already a date set for all of us to start teleworking, but we have to pack it up early because someone in our building got sick and had tested positive for COVID-19. The talk about this virus never occurred to me in my brain that this stay at home lock down was actually going to be happening. There were emails coming to me from my school about how we were going to be switching to online classes, but I just thought that was a worst case scenario that would never actually happen. Here I was though sitting right in the middle of the worst case scenario. Teachers scrambling to make online lectures, work figuring out how we are going to have our meetings, and everyone grabbing at the hand sanitizers in their pockets or purses after touching every door knob.

Weight Loss 101
I am a certified personal trainer as well as a certified nutritionist. As someone who in constanly roaming Instagram and all all social media platforms, I have seen every fad diet there is. By fad diets I mean, "low carb," "no carb," low fat," " IF.," and so on. There are so many "diets" out there there it's almost impossible for the general population to gather the correct information when it comes to losing weight.

The Many Reasons Why I Am Thankful
I AM THANKFUL FOR MY CHILDREN My children are the reasons why my life is worth living. They give me the strength that I need to push forward and make it through the day. I am thankful for the many kisses and hugs that they give and the many times that they tell me they love me. My children are my everything and if it weren't for them, I don't know where I would be. I am thankful that I've been blessed to be the mom of such wonderful children.
