Discovering My Power Through Personal Accountability
In honor of the New Year, I thought it would be fitting to share a perspective that isn't as popular or often discussed. When I have seen the topic of accountability come up in "the comments" or discussion boards, its usually been evoked as a reprimand that eventually devolves into 'something else'.

Tuning Into The Dark Side Of The Mind
When you’re alone in your bedroom, the only person you’re left with is yourself. Your voice is the only resounding sound in your mind. Your feelings of inadequacy and insecurity beating in your chest, the lifeline through your body.

Where ya headed?
During our college days, my friend, Ken, and I decided to drive to Chicago, wanting to see the big city while in that part of the country for a wedding. After the wedding rehearsal on Friday night, Ken and I struck out for the Windy City. As we traveled up I-65, we could see the lights ahead. Soon we were on the edge of the metro area. As we got closer, we saw what appeared to be a sea of taillights – and the accompanying headlights – flowing along the Eisenhower Expressway. Drawing nearer, we suddenly found ourselves sucked into the eastbound traffic, but we soon were back to flowing along at 70 plus miles per hour. After a few minutes I looked at Ken, who was driving, and asked, “Do you have any idea where we are?”

Fundamentals
Whilst I do have intentions around better eating, better sleeping and more exercise, those are not the most important ones. I have realised that underpinning my sense of wellbeing is a resolve not to let other people’s opinions have any power over me. This can be difficult when we are talking about people close to us, with whom we may have shared history, or familial ties. This year though, is the year that I wipe this slate clean.

The Best me
The Best me I left 2020 behind and found myself on this illuminating light within me that told me 2021 is different but not just me for everyone its different. As humans it’s our natural instinct to want to be better than what we were yesterday. We know that 2020 was not the best year all we can do it move on and learn from our mistakes and let go and stop resisting. It’s a new start, new beginning, new habits, doing things differently in a different perspective, without caring what other people think. I am me and no one is like me. I am a diamond a rare one. Just remember were all diamonds and each of us shine different because our uniqueness. This year I will put myself first. This year I will live in my authenticity. This year I will crush my goals one by one by taking action and not daydreaming on how I want it to come to come true but not taking action. Enough is enough no more procrastination. The key to making those dreams come true for 2021 or really just any year is to make the right choices on a daily basis. Success is hidden in our daily routine. This year I’m sticking to being organized, having discipline and staying focused. I’m letting go of anything that is no longer serving me. We need to remove those negative things, thoughts, people in our life’s to really start fresh. In order to start a new chapter in our life’s we need to not make the same mistakes we did last year. I am adapting this healthy lifestyle not just by taking action but also by the food I eat. We are what we eat literally. Something that I didn’t do the past years is cook my food. I would eat out all the time and waste money a lot of it on eating out and then I asked myself why I didn’t have enough. Enough is enough, I am cooking everyday delicious and nutritious meals and I found it to be fun. I know now what I’m putting in my body and this feels good. It all starts with the thought of wanting to change. The mind is so powerful. We often times bring ourselves down with our thoughts or the way we see ourselves also because of what people have told us in the past that has lingered on to us to the very core of today. I would often times doubt myself and not feel worthy or deserving of the things I would set in my new year’s resolution. Looking back in 2020 I was so negative always living in doubt or fear. Enough is enough I made the shift to heart coherence. Shifting my awareness to my heart because I’m pure consciousness’ I’m paying attention the way I talk to myself. It’s okay to feel emotions but I will not linger on them I will not let them define me. Ok so how am I applying these things on my daily life. I am waking up every day seven in the morning meditating, saying my mantras, exercising, cooking, working, writing, reading and working on my business. Also, one thing that I been applying this year 2021 is learning. I learn something new everyday knowledge is key weather I am reading self-development books or watching YouTube videos of motivational speakers or watching a documentary. Expanding my awareness to a different level of light. Expand the mind to endless possibilities that’s where the magic happens. By doing the things I love on a daily basis, doing these small changes in my life will help me accomplish my goals. I am taking action on my goals and working on them on daily basis. All my hard work will pay off I just know it. But most importantly taking care of myself internally and externally. I love me for who I was before and who I am becoming I love me.

My NYR is to spend more time naked
I had never seen a naked 92-year-old before, but that is how I met Joe. Joe was the first guy I saw wandering around Sydney's busiest nudist beach. It was a rather odd moment. Joe was casually filling his water bottle up at a fountain right in front of me and I was trying to hide behind a Magazine Wolverine on the front cover. He took one look at me and burst out laughing.

Pleasure Revolution
I haven't made New Year's resolutions this time, and yet I feel like I'm on track to accomplish more this year than I have before. Maybe that's the secret? I haven't made clear resolutions, but I have set one intention. One that may sound outrageous in this tough world, where we have limited movement, not one but many diseases, economy is floundering, people struggle to cope. Yet, after years of searching, I'm pretty sure this is the best way for me. To keep motivated, to make change, and even to help the world. What is it? To seek more pleasure. So this year, I'm setting out to experience more of it. Both by choosing what to do - and how to do it.

Starting Today
“New year, new me.” The same phrase, played like a broken record by the vast majority of people across the globe. I’ve always joined the chorus, outlining detailed plans as to how I’m going to change myself in the coming year, vocalizing the productivity of my endeavors. But somehow, by the end of January each year, I’m back to my usual routine, and shockingly enough, no different than who I was the previous year. Life is hectic, and it’s all too easy to get bogged down by the obstacles thrown towards you at every turn, falling back on the phrase, “I’ll start tomorrow.” But these words in and of themselves are flawed. Tomorrow is always a day away, it will never come.

Courage Over Comfort
I will valiantly push forward. Past my insecurities, fears, and self doubt. I will find a way to be the best version of myself every day. Some days that will be easier than others, but deep down I will always know just how much I am capable of. Sometimes that will simply mean acknowledging that I am enough, with whatever I accomplished that day.
