Motivation as Desire
Motivation is a complex concept. It's abstract and lies somewhere between desire and drive but it's quite hard to nail it down. In my personal life, I tend to oscillate between high motivation and little to no motivation, very rarely do I land on that knife-edge balance which allows me to develop deep-rooted change.

5 Movies to watch if you need some motivation
Let's face it 2020 was a tough year. And I think it made all of us look at things a little differently. If you are like me, it made you rethink your life and what was really important to you. It made me look at my values and what I stand for and want to do better. Wanting to do more and better with my life. Movies are a great way to get you thinking and maybe give some motivation on how you can change your life. It's not about doing the exact same thing as the person in the movie, but take the overall message of the movie to be able to apply it to your life.

How I lost over 100 pounds and counting
I let myself go and was at my worst topping out at 320 pounds and it wasn't until I figured out why I let myself go that could start losing weight. Figure out your why, if you have a lot of weight to lose think about why you eat. What are your triggers, are you eating mindlessly because of boredom? Or are you eating your feelings away? This very important step is the beginning to understanding why you do anything in life. What drives you to be you, focus on the good as everyone has good in them to give to the world. Be the change you want to see in the world and if you being overweight is stopping you from greatness then what stops you from losing weight? Find your why and you'll find your motivation to accomplish anything in life.

The Honeymooners
“Hey, Kailyn! I don’t pay you to talk all night! Get back to work! Table number 13 needs coffee. NOW!” Geez, Kailyn thought, you don’t pay me to even breathe around here. Her boss Tim was nowhere as sleazy as her landlord, but he sure made her work for her minimum wages. Kailyn hung up the old phone and slid it back under the counter where the coffee machine churned out the brown liquid that everyone survived on.

What a Wonderful World
The little black girl returned the little black book and was promptly rewarded with $20,000. Milano Lombardy was still in shock even after seeing the money deposited into her bank account. It was by pure chance she even noticed the little black book lying in a patch of snow on her way home from a night shift at Modo&Modo, the local bar. Milano wasn’t even so sure how she noticed the little black book under the cover of night. The snow probably had something to do with that, you’d be a fool not to notice something that black against the cover of an all-encompassing whiteness she thought. Milano thought about the parallels of her own life, with being the only black person in her small town.

The Gift
She found the book on his nightstand, after everyone had gone home. The food had been wrapped up and put into containers in the refrigerator, the counters wiped, the cards arranged on the mantel, the last hug given, the front door closed. The clock ticking in the empty house had driven her upstairs. To check on the baby, she told herself, but really it was just to get away from the living room.

Last Rites
In March’20 when the whole world went into lockdown to save itself from the deadly Coronavirus, some people decided to give back to society and one of them was Yash. He was a 30 year old man residing in India who decided to start a Non Profit organisation(Last rites) to give a proper funeral for people who died due to Covid-19 virus. The pandemic victims could not get a proper funeral because their families were too scared to catch the super spreading Virus. Due to this mentality amongst people, the number of unclaimed dead bodies piled up at multiple hospitals all over India and sometimes hospital staff had to do the last rites of many victims. The NPO called Last rites came in and helped to reduce the burden of already burdened medical staff.

No one ever expected much from him upon his return to this small town. To say that his life was only going to continue to circle the drain was evident. Homeless and losing his mind, who walks away from a successful career as a chef? The poor guy, the one feeling I had left sparked for him, it really did.

Mystery of The Giver
The streets of Philadelphia are cold in January. The holidays are long over and on certain days like today, the morning after a heavy snow, they are empty. I used to think this was beautiful. Fresh snow, a quiet city. But these days I’m sick of the streets. I can’t believe I’ve been living on them for almost 7 years. It was only supposed to be temporary. I’d get back on my feet in no time.
