An address to the World
Our hearts pour out for Ukraine's people for no one likes or should be the victim of a bully. Unfortunately, though this is the state of the world we now live in. History is doomed to repeat itself over and over again until we realize that greed and anger are not the way. We need to rise up from the fear-based narrative and find a better way to live. A place that all people can live in peace and happiness, free from fear and hatred. Russia is the result of the world at hand, for who polices the police? Without getting into politics, I believe we are from what the founding fathers wanted this nation to be. If we don't change our course, then we will rewrite history over again the same as it's been before. What kind of future would that be for the youth of today? The world needs to slow down and smell the roses. This starts with each one of us, working on being better than we were yesterday. The old saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child” and this is what we must come together and do. The children are our future and if we steady the course where heading what kind of world will it be?

Be the Change
When pondering what to write for this challenge, it dawned on me that we as a society need to get back to the basics. In many ways as a society, we should take a hard look at what truly matters in life and if we are living a life we love. A life that we look forward to waking up each day ready take on whatever comes our way. For this though I am referring to being the change. We need to be the change needed in the world, every last one of us has to do our part. I couldn't write this honestly if I weren't willing to be that very change as well. It starts with me and starts with you to be the change needed for generations to come. By stepping up to the call you become the motivation for those around you. Find the motivation and start moving forward because nothing will change if you just sit still. Pay a smile forward or help someone in need. Vibe so high that just being you, you bring light to a room full of positivity. Your smile and vibration could save someone's life as you help lift them up. We will never know the full impact we have on others life's so we must continue to stay true to oneself and being in the present. If you've read this far then you know that there are no coincidences, and this was meant to find you. So, I ask you to please join me in being the change, the change the world needs.

How I lost over 100 pounds and counting
I let myself go and was at my worst topping out at 320 pounds and it wasn't until I figured out why I let myself go that could start losing weight. Figure out your why, if you have a lot of weight to lose think about why you eat. What are your triggers, are you eating mindlessly because of boredom? Or are you eating your feelings away? This very important step is the beginning to understanding why you do anything in life. What drives you to be you, focus on the good as everyone has good in them to give to the world. Be the change you want to see in the world and if you being overweight is stopping you from greatness then what stops you from losing weight? Find your why and you'll find your motivation to accomplish anything in life.

How to write the perfect song
While on a long road trip, tired of loop on Pandora and Spotify we resorted to the radio. Weird how everything comes around, if you could see the loop would you make the same mistakes? Or would you learn from your mistakes and make the second time better than the first? While listening to the radio, the thought came to me that every song is so similar when broken down. Axis of Awesome came to mind that cements the theory that they are all alike. Don't believe me, listen to their four chords song and you will soon see. The same four chords are in just about every song and when you realize this it makes it much easier to break it down and write a hit single. Take a page out of the rap community, they take someone's beat and they flow with the words that come to mind. To write a song you can simply do the same thing, find a beat you like and let the words come to you. Let your feeling guide on a lyrical journey. Get your ego out of the way and let the words flow. Even if you only can think of a few lines, in time when you learn to let go you will see it flow. If just the beat isn't enough, think of the type of song you want to write. Now, whatever song comes to mind I know you'll know the words to this songs. Listen to it and sing with it, feel it. You chose this song for a reason, it has meaning and this is good. Feel the song, feel the emotions it brings and turn that song into your own words. Whatever the hook is, change that first and then let the words come to you. The most important part of writing, not just music is doing it from the heart. If you can be vulnerable and let your emotions and your feelings be heard through the music then you know your on the rite path. Anything from the heart is the start to greatness, when your vulnerable people will feel it. Your fans will resonate with it, when you can do this you can be the greatest singer song writer of all time. At the end of the day, everyone just wants to feel something and many turn to music. Why, for the very reasons I have stated above. A song can be anything and everything. A song can get you of a rut or make a bad day better. Music is food for the soul and when someone great comes along that can sing with their heart then you know it will great.

Who walks who?
When you walk the dog who walks who? Do you power walk and the dog must be by your side the entire time? Or do you let the dog sniff every nook and cranny? If the walk is for the dog ultimately then shouldn't you allow them to enjoy it? But this is just a metaphor as I was really referring to your brain. Learn to walk it and not let it walk you. The mind can be a beautiful and blissful place once you learn to silence the noise. If you can do this one thing every day at least once you'll surely be on your way to success. Every time your mind starts to wander pause and take a deep breath while slowly closing your eyes. focus your mind on the long slow incoming breath and then on the longer than normal slow exhale. In that moment if at no other time in the day your mind was completely focused for at least that one breath. Imagine with me what one conscious breath can do for you, that peace is on the other side waiting. Before long that one breath will turn into so much more and true peace from within will prevail. Here you will find your real happiness for it will never be satisfied in any other way. When your done looking out, look in and this breath technique is the beginning to bliss. Find your true inner peace and be happy, as happiness in contagious and your smile could change someone's life. Be the change you want to see in the world for it all starts within you. Approach life mindfully from the heart and all good things will come. When you find that peace you will find the stresses of the world are no longer an issue. This is what one conscious breath can do for you.

Lag in many ways has taken over the human population. Our bodies are so run down they are always lagging. We are constantly angered all the time with the lag in our lives. Whether it be cell lag, streaming lag or jet lag they are all the same. We as the human race have become so impatient and entitled that we let a little bit of a delay ruin day. We have allowed the little things in life to ruin our minds. Constantly thinking about the things we can't change. We all need a reboot, just like the computer over time gets run down and a simple reboot usually resolves the issue. Our bodies need a reset, we need to get back to the basics. We over complicate everything and force ourselves to be run down and over worked. Why do we do this to ourselves, why do we allow ourselves to get so run down before we take notice? We need to listen to our bodies for they are the most complicated, sophisticated and powerful machines on the planet. Yet most never pay any mind to the greatest invention of all, US. We know more about so many things yet we never learned about ourselves. Take the time to discover the beauty within, there is so much to be found. You are a special soul, we all are and we forget that when we let life run us over. Take back the control of your life and start living. Start finding your passions again, why do we forget to do the things we love? Why do we let our work dictate the velocity of our life? Is it laziness or fear of the unknown that keeps you from doing what you love? What stops you from waking up everyday with a smile ready to tackle the world? What stops you from make the choices that will make you happy? What stops you from being you?

Crypto or the Gold rush over again?
In thinking about what to write about BITCOIN the thought came to me that this is very similar in many regards to the gold rush of 1849. At first everyone was driven by the idea of easy wealth and the lifestyle it brought. But with it came so much more, like greed and anger. Mercilessly eradicating the natives because they were bad for business. They took up the land and scared the the miners and for what, greed? Crime ran rapid in the mining camps because the government simply didn't have the knowledge or the capability to enforce the laws that were needed at the time. Eventually big money figured it out and made it not possibly for the the average guy at the bottom to make it worth there time. Now you might say, but they created jobs for these miners. I say at what cost where these jobs created, is the human life or any life not more valuable than gold? Why do we allow greed to take over our lives and control it? We are all enslaved to the all mighty dollar and this is what the gold rush helped carry forward. Greed breads greed and for what, greed is a temporary solution in the souls long journey. When has greed or a greedy person been good for you or society?

Is the American dream a lie?
From the time we are born we are taught if we work hard you'll get ahead and be prosperous in life. But the higher you climb in your career financially, are you ever fully satisfied. Why is this you ask? Simply put, if your not doing what you love your just going through the motions. I came across a commercial for a game and though the game doesn't matter it's the message that does. The entire game is a puzzle where your the king trying to reclaim your treasure and willing to risk your life for it. Why do we think in this way? Money is a temporary solution to a long term problem. Is the grass greener on the other side of the fence? Very rarely it is, but we keep trying it our way doing the same thing over and over hoping for different results. Have you ever thought back and although you were great at something when you were young you gave up on your dream for wealth? Or made choices that ruined those dreams? Either way, why did you give up on your natural gifts that were awarded you at birth? Every single person is special, you just have to find it within you and let the world see it. Why do we enslave ourselves to the dollar bill? Like I said it's a temporary happiness that will eventually fade away. Everyone has heard the story of the immigrant grandfather that worked there butt off to make something for his family in America. His son will know the blood sweat and tears that went into it but will his grandkids or there kids? We have seen it again and again, the inspiration from the past is lost on the youth of today. In many cases 2-3 generations down line will destroy what the past created. They simply don't have the same motivation for they never had to work for it or know the value of it. But, is this how we should be thinking? Unfortunately in todays times we have to have money to survive, but at what cost? Watch TV during the afternoon during the week. I bet you'll see a commercial for something killing someone who worked for someone who didn't care about them. Why enslave yourself to a company who would replace you in a week if you died tomorrow. Our loyalty is mislead and misguided, we give too much to those we shouldn't and not enough to those we should.

Fresh Start for Humanity
For my new years resolution I decided to try and my hardest, to be the change I want to see in the world. It all starts with you I tell myself, think about it with me for second. If you could wake up every day with a smile on your face, happy no matter what life throws at you? Isn't this what we should strive for? Be the change you want to see in the world by making the correct choices each day. Life is hard and everyone is dealing with something, some just hide it better. If everyone started to learn about themselves more instead of keeping tabs on everyone else, well the world could start turning around. This world doesn't need more gadgets or faster computers or anything else money can buy. It needs LOVE, but the love that only comes from you first by being that change you want to see in this crazy world we live in.

What is Love?
What is love? Is it a physical feeling or something more pure? The love you have for your mother is it the same as your kids? The love for your kids is it the same for your spouse? What is love, is it just something that we have told ourselves feels nice and so we like it. Do we associate too many things to that word though? We attach too many things to the word love and therefore it can also hurt. If we go back to our roots I would assume the same love you have for your mother is the way love was intended for it to be. If it's as simple as that then why do we over complicate it? Giving that word so much power over your life can be beautiful and horrible, it all depends on the outlook of the person. Do we also associate love with happiness? They both can lead to each other and who doesn't want to be happy and loved? I guess the choice is yours, you have to be true to yourself. But ultimately isn't it a choice to be happy? If you look at it this way as a choice then why would anyone CHOOSE to be anything other than happy? Since happiness and love lead to each other then wouldn't one want to learn to love ones self and CHOOSE to be happy about life. No matter who you are at any stage in life the choice is always yours to be happy or not. If you practice your mind to focus on the positive in life you will see happiness comes easy. You'll see the good in everything, the positive outlook to all situations. Again since it leads to one another then with a positive outlook you will attract others with the same mindset. In time you'll find that person who is right for you, that perfect person. But you have to be true to yourself first and that begins with looking inside ourselves. So again what is love exactly?

What's the best Playlist?
What is in a playlist? It's the mood your in at that point in your life. Are you in love or looking, then it may have a softer tone. Or are you in the gym to blast out that aggression and rip through it like a hurricane? Then maybe your more on the harder side. But one could say I'm stereotyping, am I? look at old playlists and ask yourself why you don't listen to them and see what genre they are. Maybe your palette hasn't been expanded yet and as you age your music changes just like your palette will evolve. Some foods you hated as a kid are now some of your favorites. Our palettes are ever expanding and having like minded people around us it will continue to stay the same. Seeing other peoples playlists allows one to see where they are at in life. If life's good or bad the music will reflect what you know at that point in your life. Why does each generation hate the newer music? It's different and it's not what you know. The older you are the more set in your ways and sometimes less likely to reach outside the box. Expand your palette and learn to appreciate the good, even the worst song requires some talent. I'm sure that person tried there hardest to make that the best song in they could with what they had. Find the positive and expand our palettes so we may ever evolve our playlists. The playlist is and will always be perspective, what motivates you today? Why do you workout, that reason may reflect the music your playing as well. I heard a story of a man in prison who was ripped and was never getting out. A real tough guy, but when in the gym loved to sing opera while working out. With his size and reputation no one was going to say anything so he was free to be who he wanted. Our playlist may be surprising to some. If you looked at a guy like that in the gym that's not what you'd expect. But behind brawn or headphones your free to be you. Free to let that music move your soul, to feel it. The songs that give that instant smile as soon as they come on. No matter how many times you've heard it strikes home. Ask yourself why, listen that song and really listen to the message. Is it where your at in life at the moment or is the beat so good that it just moves you. Music is like love, we add so much baggage to each. So our playlist will also be perspective to our life's journeys thus far. Again let us never stop expanding our palettes and learn to appreciate all life's beauties'. I would imagine the greatest playlist of all time would have to be comprised of a list of songs that move your soul when you hear them. You know the music that you dance to when no one is watching. The music you sing with when you think no one can hear you. The music that makes a bad day better even if you only caught the tail end on the radio. Music is medicine for the soul, so find the perfect playlist and make it your own. What other than music can make you cry, laugh or find complete peace all in the same song? How I hear it may not be how you hear it and therefor it touches each of us different. Listen more and talk less and let the music guide your soul.
