January: The Month of Me
The holidays have come and gone in the blink of an eye. I spent Christmas with my family in Illinois and New Years with close friends in Pennsylvania. Each day I spent with those dear to me was a day spent in pure bliss. As my boyfriend and I cleaned and locked up the vacation house in Pennsylvania, we were both struck by sheer melancholy, and I have not been able to shake it since.

Judgment. This is something I have (unfortunately) become very familiar with, especially this past year. That new career change that you are really excited about? There is going to be someone saying, “You won’t make any money doing that!” or “Why would you want to do THAT?”

DIY. If you find that you can’t work within the machine, do it yourself. Gareth Edwards, director of the most recent Godzilla reboot, had one homemade feature to his credit prior to directing the $200 million return of the giant lizard. The film was an indie titled Monsters, and it was shot for less than $500,000. Monsters was no big commercial hit, as it grossed $4.2 million globally. The reviews, however, were sensational.
Joel EisenbergPublished 6 years ago in MotivationAsk, Believe, Receive
Is there something you really want in life? Is it a new job, house, husband or wife? Or do you want to make more money, or debt-free is the plan for this New Year? Well, what if I told you that you can have what you ask for just by using three simple words? Ask, Believe, and Receive. These three words have power. Some people do well with using these three words and are able to receive what they ask for or better. However, there are some people who have a hard time applying this to their life. I am going to show you exactly what to do to apply it to your life and receive what you ask for, but always remember TIMING plays a huge factor in receive what you ask for.

Holly BushnellPublished 6 years ago in MotivationMandatory To Do List for 2018
1) Love Yourself 2018 is YOUR year. Stop comparing yourself to those Instagram models and celebrities. Be happy with what you have, what you look like and the life you live. Life is way too short to be worried about things that do not matter. If you spend too much time on other people, make time for yourself. Do what you have to do to help yourself grow. You are YOU and that is enough. Self love all 2018.
Sophia MayfieldPublished 6 years ago in MotivationOpening My Eyes
I feel like after seeing what has been happening all around me, I grew up a little. From being a little girl taking care of my younger brothers and not discovering who really am, to making it to this year of 2018. I can understand why I am here and experiencing all these events. I used to think to myself all the time since I gave birth to my little girl, how am I, as an 18-year-old mother going to get through the struggles? I faced a lot of disappointments and resentment, but grew out of the negativity and saw there is a way to get what I want for my future and my daughter's. I couldn't face why the father of my child could not grow up and just be an adult until I faced the fact I can have fun in life without being judgmental and harsh of the choices he makes. As teachers and friends always told me: we are only humans; we all make mistakes.
Putting It Out TherePublished 6 years ago in MotivationHow to Motivate Yourself to Clean Your Apartment
For some people, cleaning is actually a great stress reducer. The act of keeping your hands busy and your mind focused on one task can be therapeutic. For others, however, finding the motivation to clean can be like trying to move a boulder.

Rachel BlanchardPublished 6 years ago in MotivationBest Self Help Books for Women to Read
Self help is one of the very few book genres that tends to be stigmatized or even disregarded, despite it being an overall positive topic. The truth is that much of the disdain self help books get as a genre is due to the sheer number of books that sound helpful and uplifting, but only really deliver a light "feel good" rush that doesn't really help you do much of anything concrete.
Ossiana TepfenhartPublished 6 years ago in MotivationNew Year, New You
Everyone is currently engulfed in the warm glow of hope brought about by their New Year's resolutions, the dreams everyone has for the success and achievements 2018 will bring, the better, more accomplished, happier you that will inevitably emerge. I am thoroughly in support of setting goals and establishing a path to reach them, but not of these fleeting resolutions.
