Dear Friends,

It is good to know that all cancer patients whose voice box (or Larynx) has been removed can speak again.

It indeed is big news worth your support.

You can spread it and bring happiness to many disabled-to-speak persons.

Fortunately, an Indian doctor has invented a machine costing just $1

The machine helps the voice-less person to speak again properly.

Your friends may have friends who need this voice machine or voice box.

Imagine the quantum of happiness in your life even if one person gets back his voice through your support.

When you help, your body and mind also gets thrilled and so is the beneficiary’s.

You can help many people enjoy happiness.

I feel it is my duty to talk about the inventor.

The inventor of the voice-machine is Dr. Vishal Rao, an oncologist and head and neck surgeon at the HealthCare Global (HCG) Cancer Center in Bangalore. India

He has developed voice prosthesis, a medical device that enables a patient whose voice box has been removed from his throat due to cancer to speak as also eat properly.

The device has been named as ‘Aum’. It weighs only 25 grams.

Dr. Vishal Rao says speech should not be a privilege of the rich only and offers every voice-less needy person to use the machine to express himself, speak clearly and eat properly once again, like good early times.

This invention is connected to a box of tampons, a combination of ancient craft of wooden toy-making and

High-tech yet simple science

He says freedom of speech is something we only talk about.

I found a different kind of speech while attending a function at the National Institute of Technology at a township named Suratkal near Bangalore.

Dr Vishal Rao was a special speaker, at the event.

I overheard that Dr Rao helps those who have lost

their voice due to throat cancer to speak again.

The voice prosthetic device is inserted in the throat through a surgical process developed by Dr Rao and his team.

It substitutes the voice box that God has fitted in our throat.

It makes sure our voice makes meaningful sound out of our bodies.

To prevent cancer from spreading, the God given voice box is often removed.

Once removed, the patient has no alternative but to start a relationship with the world of silence.

Before Dr. Rao patented his device, there were (and still are) many other devices that also mimicked the voice.

These can cost you anything from 400 to 2000 US Dollars.

Fortunately, Aum voice box is priced at less than a dollar.

Dr. Vishal Rao says why must the rich only have the right to speech?

He came up with an invention to insert a voice box into a person’s throat without having to visit operation room again. .

He used the skills of a wooden toy maker from a village in Karnataka famous for its wooden toys.

Dr.Rao says the idea of the replacement tool came when he was in a supermarket shopping.

His young son was running amok, dropping boxes off shelves, including a box of tampons.

As the doctor went to put the box back on the shelf,

he wondered if it could be as easy to insert into the throat as it is to insert a tampon or as simple.

So instead of putting the box back, Dr. Rao picked up

a few more to take to his laboratory to experiment with the design of the voice box.

And the rest, as they say, is awesome.

After a person loses his voice following throat cancer, being able to speak again brings happiness beyond expression.

How the device tricks the brain into using the food-pipe as the voice box is truly fascinating.

I request you, as a reader to witness the thrill of a person who has got his speaking power back.

Sharing this news will raise your esteem in your own eyes.

Your support is desired and requested.
