Homeless teen who invented louis vuitton

a story of struggle

By Rav JuttPublished 7 days ago 3 min read

Alaska’s father trembled as he struggled to breath his last moments on this planet . The steel glass on the cupboard had fell while the mother made continous attempts to dig in for some pennys that were buried deep in a muddy-linen cloth. Alaska had 5 siblings that were all younger then her , she was the eldest or technically the bread winner of the family . Her father had looked down on her as he had hoped his first born would be a son . “ Mr. Willson , I cant possibly find the 10 dollar bill I had gotten from work the other day , is there any other way I could pay for your favour “ , Alaska’s mother spoke to the town doctor who would have helped them with free treatment however this was the millionth time they had called him for free checkup .” well, I know how crucial this stage is for your family but you must remember I too have a family too feed “ , Willson david packed his utensils and was paving his way through the sunken corridor that had dirt pilled up from the windstorm last night . Alaska desperately broke her piggy bank to help her father get treated .

(The next day )..

“ I cannot — I have to do something for my father “ , she was discussing something with her friend when rambler caught her attention . He was the gangster of the town who wouldnt let go off anyone without causing them some sort of trouble .

“ I want to make sure these bastards never make their way out of this world , I want to bang his head on the table “.

Alaska worked in the cotton factory on $2.50 as weekly wage . She looked at her swollen hands , bruised fingers and scratchy legs . Alaska had to work overnight these days as her father was getting treated . He had third stage cancer and was getting chemo .

That day she felt melancholy to such an extent that she threw up on the roadside . Alaska sensed that a crowd had gathered a fleet around her compact house , where she never felt like home , it was filled with all painful memories and cries of her traumatic childhood .

The next moment they knew , the entire family was kicked out of their own house due to the inability to pay rent . On top of being a needy poor she was now homeless.

The world has to be the most unfair place , maybe they can shift to mars if oxygen was available but oh mighty you still require money for that .

Alaska’s stomach rumbled again as she hadnt eaten a crumb of food since yesterday .She couldnt work , there was a huge pile of un sewn sweaters on her table yet again . But this time it didnt go unnoticed . Her boss called in . The conversation was long enough to make the other workers wonder what treatment she might be receiving in her air-conditioned office .

Alaska had never been more happy , she felt like on top of the moon if not mars .

She was to give the good news to her family that had made a mini tent on the roadside eversince their house was taken away . She witnessed another crowd around it , this time it had more tension . As she got closer there was wailing, screaming her heart skipped a beat . It was her mother crying hysterically. Kiora , the youngest sister hugged Alaska to gain some sort of relief . Her father had passed away this morning when she left for factory.

She tapped on the wooden table when a client came in for her order . Alaska saw her reflection in that face . She once again glanced at the scars on her hand from needles and those palm lines crying for help that day , the day she lost her father , the day she felt like the happiest-saddest person on this planet . Louis was her beloved father’s name he was never happy that Alaska was born but Alaska had always been proud of him . He never wanted to make that birth possible but her mother never wanted to abort . A week later the death , she got promoted and within weeks she became the youngest owner of the clothing factory to convert it to a renown brand just for the sake of that life she was born with .She owned it , embraced it unlike her dad who never did .
