Embrace Change

Change Hurts When You Don't Understand It.

By Latoya GreenPublished 7 years ago 3 min read
A Caterpillar's Evolution

Sometimes the pain we feel inside is like a little bitty caterpillar's metamorphosis yanking at the center of your stomach fighting for a sense of direction trying to guide you where it's hard to see where you are going; because going up the stairs, you haven't yet made it to the top to see what's there. Haven't yet reached its destination. We hurt because we don't understand the proper purpose of change. Stress is strain, mental or emotion tension which causes anxiety and depression in the body. Stress—as I call it—is just the UN-understood feeling of the process of change that is required for the next level in one's life that is NOT necessarily unwanted, but is misunderstood.

We pray for this change without knowing the process we must undergo. For instance, you can be feeling as if you are stuck in an unwanted situation in life where you long for change or wish for something different in your life to happen simply as growth. There will come a moment that your thoughts will pray and speak out loud a spell that will then begin to make its way to transform and transform you, without a doubt—a prayer—but requires a process for this transformation.

In order for change to occur, we must be broken down until the change reaches the insides of our bodies in order to rebuild our life starting with the mind; the life you want and the life you deserve. Stress is just the body's way of rejecting the change necessary with the mind for "a caterpillar's evolution."

Change is inevitable when we begin to change the way we view things and situations. The way we see it will determine the way we handle it and that will also determine the way it affects us. We must have patience for this process in order to withstand the bumps and bruises we will encounter along the road. The journey to the finish will be evident for this modification alone. We look back at what we had in the middle of the journey, because we begin to miss the old... what we are used to...whether it's good or bad... life itself, reminiscing on the past has its pros and cons and is something we should never do without seeing how far we've come.

We tend to get stuck on the usual because we fear the unknown that is taking us out of our comfort zone. We don't tend to realize that a new life is going to cost us our old one, and there is no reverse for what has already begun to take place. It is similar to being on a boat in the middle of the ocean with the only way to get on the other side is to keep going. Row and grow.

Change is essential for an upgrade or a way out of any situation in life and the only way to do this is to persevere despite whatever obstacle or difficulties that you may endure during this change which will lead to your success. A place where we once didn't feel safe all the time in it becomes the safe harbor of one's anchor because it is our psychological home... the only home we know. An unfinished and incomplete creation of a future you once dreamed of leading by allowing change to transpire.

Change is an awkward feeling because it is new. A complex incision, its purpose is to carve out a new beginning. One that is absent-minded to one's experience, while acknowledging the heart's desire. Change requires an intervention instead of self-inflicting pain... Embrace Change. "Good Luck on your journey!" Fly.
