Easy Tricks to a Healthier, More Natural Lifestyle

Some simple ways to improve your health

If you are like most Americans, it can be hard to put the time into eating healthy, and making it to the gym regularly. The average choices for food are not really healthy portions, and tend to be loaded with fat, sugar, and carbs that blow you up like a balloon overnight. But, what can you do without taking too much time from your work schedule and falling behind on your bills? It is almost irresistible to stop for a pizza, or to make a quick run through the drive-thru when you are hungry and on the go.

The problem is that eating poorly, and not making time for exercise can lead to serious issues. Many people end up with diabetes due to their poor health habits. Other’s end up with torn ligaments or foraminal stenosis and other back issues. Even shopping at the grocery store can be a dead-end if you buy what you like, rather than planning out some fancy-ingredient meals to cook. Let's discuss some of the healthy, natural lifestyle tricks that anyone can pull off to change their habits.

1: Keep Bananas Around

Unless you absolutely hate bananas, you should try to pick up a bunch of them whenever you are out shopping. They are a great way to get instant healthy carb energy when you are run down. They are also an excellent replacement for sugary beverages and desserts that turn those rock hard abs into marshmallow. If you are feeling hungry in the morning, or after a meal, a banana can be the pick-me-up that saves your body from fatigue and obesity. They are also loaded with potassium, an important electrolyte nutrient that helps regulate your nerve and muscle movements. The banana is even said to prove the existence of divine creation, because it fits so perfectly in the human hand.

2: Avoid Other Carbs

One of the best diets for people to slim down fast is the keto diet. A keto diet seeks to eliminate most of the carbs (less than 50-grams a day) from the diet so that you can fill your body with satisfying and rejuvenating protein and burn off fats. When you go on a ketosis diet, your body’s metabolism can change from processing carbs, which are essentially sugars, to only burning fats. When it does this, you can imagine how easy it is to burn off that belly fat by simply cutting back on a meal. If you do this route, you will need a recipe book of keto breakfast ideas and something other than bananas around.

3: High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

HIIT training is all the rage these days as people wake up to the fact that oxygen depletion is the name of the game. When you exercise hard and get your heart rate up, you essentially force your body to deplete its oxygen reserves. The collateral benefit of this is that your body is working hard and metabolizing energy long after the workout is over. The beauty of it is that you can do simple calisthenic exercises in quick short bursts just about anywhere to achieve the O2 afterburn effect all day long. The harder you push yourself each time, the better you will get at building your capacity.

4: Refuse to Eat Out

There should never be any reason to eat out in a restaurant unless you are out of state in a hotel with no options. Although it feels good to succumb to those pretty colors and easy meals sitting on the side of the highway, you simply have to remind yourself of how fattening it can be. If you do eat out, be sure to eat something that is fresh and healthy like a salad. As long as you don't overdo it with the salad dressing, you won't pack on too many pounds. But, avoiding restaurants altogether will break the lifestyle habit that ties you down with temptations. Although it can be expensive and time-consuming to cook healthy meals, it can also be cheap and easy if you spend a little time to find the right recipes during a day off work.
