Shows such as Blue Planet II have made it clear that our oceans are full of plastic, and it's time to do something about it. It's not until you think about plastic that you realise that almost everything you buy has some form of plastic on it that you're going to throw away. Your food has copious amounts of plastic surrounding it, your clothes have plastic tags, and that pair of scissors you bought is surrounded by tough plastic that actually requires another pair of scissors to open. This plastic often finds its way into the ocean and is damaging the delicate sea creatures, and it's damaging us. Even plastic you send for recycling isn't always reused as recycling is a hard service to offer consistently. Here are five simple ways that you can cut down your plastic usage.

As you get older, your room starts to look messier. Many of us hoard so much junk that throwing any of it out is like throwing out a piece of our heart. From the clothes that we don't wear anymore to the stupid scrap we collected through the years that we should definitely toss out but we don't, this can cause our rooms to look very cluttered. Especially since we own so much, we're running out of room to store them all. So, what's our last resort? Just shove the garbage under our beds, stuff them in drawers, and leave the majority of them in the corners of our room so they're out of the way, but still there.

What's In My Purse?
Let me tell you. For us girls, we always carry our life in our purse. At least that's the case for me. When I switch purses over, it's usually all nice and neat and organized. Until it's not. More stuff gets put in it and then it's basically a junk purse if you want to call it that. Before I cleaned mine out, it was filled with wrappers, receipts, random papers, etc. Now it's back to being my purse, with a few extras not being trash. I call it my mommy purse. I do carry some extra baby stuff in my purse on days where I just don't feel the need to carry the baby backpack. But that will be a different blog. For now, here is my updated collection of what's in my purse.
