The Three Tables at Every Wedding That Explain Everything
Last month I went to another wedding. The table I sat at happened to be right on the border between the friends’ section and the relatives’ section. To my left were the bride’s college roommates. To my right was a distant uncle of the groom. When the same steamed grouper was brought to the table, the left side started filming it for their group chat, while the right side discussed whether it was wild or farmed. Both sides were lively, but the quality of the liveliness was completely different.

Anthropic’s 5% to 7% revenue line is a detection problem, not a scandal
The sentence in the S-1 should not be read as “violating users contributed 5% to 7% of revenue.” For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, about 5% to 7% of revenue came from customers later determined to have violated usage policies or commercial terms. Using $16.286 billion for the first half and the media-reported Q3 figure of $16.8 billion disclosed to investors, nine-month revenue is about $33.086 billion. The 5% to 7% range corresponds to roughly $1.65 billion to $2.32 billion. The S-1 states the revenue-recognition timing: the service had already been provided, and the restriction or termination came afterward. The money is consideration that accumulated during the lag between the violation, detection, investigation, and account closure.

The 24-Hour Cutoff and the 48-Hour Silence
On October 26, 2026, Mbappé described discriminatory content about Chinese people as a joke in an interview. Within 24 hours, Dongpeng Beverage ended its personal endorsement deal with him, six months after signing. Mengniu and Milkground followed. Dongqiudi refused to translate the remarks. Xiaohongshu muted his account. At the personal endorsement level, the cuts were immediate, clustered, and explicit.

Your $1,800 Foldable Is Cracking. The Hinge Was Broken Before You Opened the Box.
When the Screen Cracks, So Does Trust Less than a week after the iPhone Duo went on sale, the most widely shared images on social media were not unboxing videos but cracked screens. The failures looked the same. In almost every case, the crack appeared directly over the inner-screen crease. The shape was similar too: either a bright line of dead pixels running vertically through the display, or a dark seam splitting the fold. One user in Australia received the phone and, after fewer than twenty opens and closes over roughly six hours, heard a sharp "crack" while unfolding it. The inner screen split along the hinge, with no visible sign of impact on the body. In Shanghai, a buyer paid 17,999 yuan in the morning; by the afternoon, while opening the screen normally at a mobile service counter, the device made the same sharp sound and a black vertical fissure about three centimeters long appeared at the crease.

Real Madrid can split a contract. It cannot split an icon.
One controversy, two speeds. La Liga president Javier Tebas wrote to the Chinese side and apologized in public almost at once. Then he met Chinese ambassador Yao Jing and said an “isolated incident” should not damage a relationship built on “mutual respect, trust and cooperation.” Real Madrid said nothing official. It used friendly media to send a narrower message: Mbappé’s China sponsorships belong to his personal company. Real Madrid’s deals with Chinese sponsors have not changed. The player did not mean to offend. He has a right to express personal views. CCTV rejected that split. It said Mbappé is a Real Madrid player, so the club cannot avoid responsibility. It also said nothing would move until Real Madrid apologized.

I Ran Three Companies Alone for Three Months. Here's What AI Native Means.
For the past three months, I have barely written any articles. My computer has three windows open: the HCI.TOP backend, the CodeNow editor, and the World OS timeline page. The third window is empty most of the time. It has been waiting for me to connect the data.

I bought a House in Hegang for $5,000. Then I Looked Up.
When Xiao Chen pushed the door open, her suitcase was still standing by her feet and she hadn’t changed shoes. She looked up and saw the water stain on the ceiling near the window, yellowed, its edges curled, like an old newspaper that had been soaked by rain and dried again. She pulled the suitcase two steps inside. Between the third and fourth floorboards, a corner had warped upward and made a sound under her foot.

A software founder uploaded a YouTube video. It was a screen recording. A user dragged a messy spreadsheet into the product. The product reformatted it into a standard layout. The user exported it. No face on camera. No background music. The only voiceover line was “link in the description.”

Sri Lanka Went Dark at Noon Because It Had Too Much Electricity
At 11:45 a.m. on October 17, 2026, Sri Lanka’s power grid collapsed. About 22 million people lost electricity, and most areas did not see supply restored until around 6 p.m. In 2022, the same island nation had endured daily power cuts of up to 13 hours because of foreign-exchange exhaustion and fuel shortages. This time, the blackout came after solar capacity had surged past 3,000 MW.
