Something To Remember When Things Feel Hard

There's The Reality And Then A Choice

I was having a conversation with someone yesterday, and they told me about how they weren't sure that a certain Program they were going through was Right for them.

The Program in question is Designed to help people understand themselves better and learn new Perspectives about themselves.

They told me that the Program was Hard.

In fairness, they are Right.

The Program is something that is Hard by Design, and it is one I have been through myself.

So, I understood when they told me that it was Difficult, it wasn't an Exaggeration or a situation of simple complaining.

They were right, it really is Hard.

I wasn't going to tell them that it wasn't Hard, and I also wasn't going to tell them whether the Program was Right or Wrong for them.

Nothing is perfect for everyone, and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is trying to Sell you something.

However, I did have something to pass on to them.

Here's a bit of what I said, edited to apply to anyone.

"You're not wrong, the (program) does require a decent amount of work.

I will say that Life is a lot of Work though. It's not something we can really escape. I think it is important to find what you're willing to work hard for.

To me, and you're always welcome to disagree with me, (the program) is a good amount of work, but it's all designed to Improve ourselves. I think there are few things worth working hard for than to become the best versions of ourselves...

I am of the opinion that all the best things in life require hard work and dedication, and that belief and work has led to many great things in my life.

I won't tell you that this is or isn't the (program) for you, but I'm here for you regardless. Life is challenging, and it's good to have people around who care..."

Now, not all of the context is there, but it gets the point across.

We Live in a World that is Very Hard.

No matter what Paths we decide to go down, we will be faced with Difficult Times.

We can't decide whether or not to go down a Path simply because it is Hard, even when it TRULY is Hard as it is in this case.

To make a Decision on whether something is right or wrong for us, we must go beyond just the Fact that it is Hard.

If you stop just because it is Hard, you will find that ALL of Life will begin to put up seemingly Insurmountable Walls around you.

If we are to get anywhere in Life, we must Embrace things that are Hard.

However, we also can't just go down a Path "because" it is Hard either.

Like I said before, not every Path is for everyone, and if we just go down Paths because they are Hard, we will run into a different Problem.

We could end up extremely miserable if we decide on a Path "just" because it is Hard.

Many people do exactly that.

At the end of the day, we must look beyond the feelings of Hard.

We must look at what we are willing to Dedicate Ourselves to.

All the Paths in Life will lead to something Hard, so we must be Intentional about which Hard Path we want to Live.

You must look at the End Game of the Path, and you have to become Honest with yourself.

Is that End Game Worth it to You?

Is it Worth the Hard Times that are Inevitable to Attain that End?

If it isn't, then don't put your Energy into it - it will be a Waste of your Precious Time.

However, if the End Game IS Worth getting to, then you Must EMBRACE how Hard that Path is.

The Reality is that every Path is Hard, no matter what.

The Choice is whether it is Worth Reaching what is at the End of that Path.

Good advice. I think, when it's hard, lean into the yoke first and see what happens.

Cody, you give excellent advice to people who have at least some idea of where they want to be. Unfortunately, there are lots of people in our lives who want to just drift and leech off the others.
