Not sure how this one reverted back to drafts. Putting it back out there.

Date: Unknown.

Location: Somewhere in the vicinity of nowhere.

"Okay! So what! It couldn't see!"

"Sir, the Neanderthal will require an upgrade for its vision. As it was trying to locate the sound of running water it fell off a steep cliff. You would never recognize it’s contorted frame."

"Then give it new eyes then! I'm too busy taming blackholes causing havoc everywhere. And while you're augmenting, give it cheek bones. Its sunken face weirded me out. It's like he was caught in permanent dread."

"Sir, I was also thinking we should consider giving it flexibility halfway down its arms. We could call them elbows. That last version had a hard time scratching it's head."

"Hahaha! Can you Imagine? Anything else?"

"Yes sir! We were thinking of asking you if we could give it a heart. Our predictions say they will eventually use it as a metaphor."

"A heart? Yes! Brilliant angle, my child. I can see it in my bright lights now. 'The times were tough, but the heart saved the day'... Love it when I reach deep like that... Did you know you should never define yourself by fear but to live bravely? 😮

"Yes! Courage! It was one of the first lessons you ever taught us, your greatness. Thank you!"

"I do recall that intimate moment of fulfillment when you angelic beings were brought into existence. And right on time, might I add. I may have been just a tad ambitious with this creation thing. Thankfully, you can now help with the insane number of projects I've juggled over the eons. Which brings me to a pressing matter. Geometry has been kicking my ass lately. All those stupid hexagons and flexagons and rhombuses. Or is it rhombi? I can't decide which sounds better...the point is, they're driving me crazy, and I must gift the task of element creation to one of you for a while. Keep an eye out for the assignment guide to see who's the lucky one. Don't expect any vacations for at least another 60 million years...”

"Sounds exciting sir, I would be honored to be the chosen."

"I know you would, Micheal but I have a special task for you. Now, have the upgrade ready before the council meeting with Buddha, Allah, Vishnu, Krishna and Jehovah. Buddha has a surprise for everyone. I want to show off my own latest creation before I send it off into the world... Keep in mind, they'll be here in 200 years so chop chop!"

"Absolutely! It will be ready by then, sir."

Date: Unknown

Location: Paleolithic Jungle

"What is it doing? Oh, I can't bear to watch. If only we were allowed to intervene, we could offer some type of assist but as our savior dictates, we must learn from its mistakes. But still, this can't end well."

"Why all the sad faces? ...NO! Tell me it's not true! How did it happen this time?"

"Sir, with all due respect, it tried fighting a saber-toothed tiger with bare hands. It didn't have a chance."

"How tragic!!! ...Stupid tigers! Remind me to make them less aggressive. I know it's in their nature and they too must survive but they better get their act together before I zap them all into vegans. As for It, where was the common sense? It seemed to lack that basic property of intellect."

"OH MY! We may have forgotten that step. Forgive us. It makes perfect sense why it failed to craft a weapon for any such confrontation... Common sense is best paired with prudence which results in sound judgement which is the root of all wisdom. It retained plenty of courage, but zero common sense required for nurturing."

"Excellent observation! I'm glad someone paid attention at the Seraphim academy. Shall we try this again? And take notes this time. We have less than 3 million years before we unleash the Albert Einstein effect. Where is he anyway?"

"Sir, he's still trying to solve that Rubiks Cube you gave him for his two thousandth birthday."

"Hahahaha! Dammit!"

A/N: There was no real inspiration behind this story. I rarely start a story from the title alone. But I couldn't get 'The Drawing Board' out of my head. So, it turned into this, lol. Thank you for reading.
