Everyone knows that one of the best ways to look good, is an aesthetic, athletic body. This mostly includes prominent abdominal muscles. Now although there certainly is no cheat code to gaining lean abs, there are things you can do to improve your workouts, and fat loss.
1. Body fat percentage
The bottom line is that even if you are putting weeks, months, years of effort into gaining abs, they will always be hidden by a layer of fat over your stomach. The only way to get rid of this is to lose the body fat. If you want to read more about this topic then read here. To put it short and simple, the more calories you consume than burn, the more energy is stored as body fat. If you want to lose this, then you need to enter a calorie deficit. The easiest way to do this is:
1. Count your calories - Part of consuming less than you burn is to first of all know how much you consume. A good way to think of an optimal calorie intake is taking your recommended intake (2000 for females and 2500 for males) and reduce it by around 500-750 calories.
2. Daily Cardio - Sports such as football, athletics, basketball, running, and most if not all games are great for burning off more calories. Also as a benefit you can improve your cardiovascular system which is great for your health.
3. Stay Healthy - Although many struggle with the calorie deficit and end up skipping meals and eating little to no food just to stay with in their parameters, this is nothing other than dangerous. To do this properly, you must eat a good amount of healthy foods and fruit and veg with plenty of minerals and vitamins to make sure you do not under eat.

Imagine your abs are 6 cylinders covered by a layer of fat. Once you get rid of the fat above them, they still aren't as prominent as you would like them to be. You need to build them up to be bigger, just like any other muscle group in your body such as biceps or triceps. To do this, we recommend this workout plan
The abdominal muscles, commonly known as abs, consist of three main muscle groups: the rectus abdominis, the external obliques, and the internal obliques.
The rectus abdominis is the most well-known muscle group of the abs. It runs vertically down the front of the abdomen and is responsible for flexing the trunk, bringing the ribcage closer to the pelvis. It is commonly referred to as the "six-pack" muscle due to its appearance when well-developed.
The external obliques are located on the sides of the abdomen. They run diagonally and downward, forming a V shape. These muscles allow the trunk to rotate and flex laterally, as well as assist in compressing the abdominal contents.
The internal obliques are positioned beneath the external obliques, running diagonally in the opposite direction. They aid in trunk rotation and lateral flexion, working in conjunction with the external obliques.
Properly training all three muscle groups through exercises like crunches, planks, and twists can help strengthen and tone the abdominal region, leading to improved core stability and aesthetics.
If you are in need of a workout plan, here is a basic one anyone can follow.
