There are many misconceptions on loosing fat and it is understandable if it is all too confusing.

1. Calorie deficit

Despite what you may believe, the calorie deficit is by far the easiest and most simple way to loose fat quick. When you eat more calories than you need, your body stores the extra calories as body fat. The simple way around this is to do the exact opposite and consume less calories than used. By doing this you can use up the energy stored as body fat (this is because body fat stores are only used in caloric deficits) and not create any more body fat stores. The average male uses 2500 calories in a day however this varies per person so you should count your calories and figure out how much you burn so you can know how many calories it takes to maintain your current body weight. After knowing this you can eat around 500 calories less and you should see results in a matter of weeks or even days.

2. Cardio

Although cardio is not necessary for loosing weight, it helps a lot. Studies have shown cardio burns fat and improves cardiovascular health meaning you are also less likely to damage your heart.

Running or Jogging: Running is a popular cardio exercise that gets your heart pumping and increases your stamina. It can be done outdoors, allowing you to explore different routes and enjoy the fresh air. You can set goals, challenge yourself to improve your pace or distance, and even participate in organized races or marathons.

Dancing: Dancing is a fantastic way to improve cardiovascular fitness while having fun. It offers a variety of styles like Zumba, hip-hop, salsa, or ballroom dancing. You can take dance classes, join dance groups, or simply groove to your favorite tunes at home. It not only enhances your heart health but also uplifts your mood and coordination.

Cycling: Whether it's riding a bicycle outdoors or using a stationary bike indoors, cycling is an excellent low-impact cardio activity. Hiking can be an adventurous and fun way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, strengthen your leg muscles, and clear your mind.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): HIIT involves short bursts of intense exercise followed by brief periods of rest. It can be done with various activities such as jumping jacks, burpees, mountain climbers, or cycling. HIIT workouts are time-efficient and provide an effective cardio workout while keeping things interesting with different exercises and intervals.

3. Health

It is especially important that you do not stave yourself and still are eating breakfast and multiple meals throughout the day. Although this is indeed a calorie deficit, it is more damaging to your body than you think.

In conclusion remember 3 things: Be in a calorie deficit, get outside and do cardiovascular activities such as running or most sports, and remember to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and still eat a good amount of food, not starving yourself.
