The Hierophant has released you to take on the rest of this journey. You have studied the necessary materials and you feel you are as prepared as you can be for the tests that are about to come your way. You have become diligent in the lessons that you will face which will help enhance your experience. The Hierophant has gifted you with an official initiation along with a couple of books you can resort back to. You are ready for what comes next, or so you believe.
As The Fool, you continue along the path of your journey until you come to a large tree of fruit. Beneath the tree you see a couple. They are caught in a tight embrace. You hesitate to approach, not wanting to interfere with the passionate energy that is emanating from them. They catch a glimpse of you, however, and tear away from each other's grasps so that they can focus on you.
When you sit down with the couple, they introduce themselves as The Lovers. At first glance, you think love is behind the driving force of this encounter, but as you listen to the pair speak, you begin to break down the ideology of their meaning. Initially, The Lovers do represent that of deep soul connection, union, and harmony. Deeper, however, you notice the pair are completely opposite. Masculine vs feminine, yin vs yang, two complete opposing ideas. The difficult decision between heart and mind.
The Lovers have you questioning between what is easy vs what is right. What you feel deeply passionate about versus what is considered practical. Is it money or love for you? Do you continue to follow your dreams or do you listen to the survival concerns banging against the walls of your mind. What do you choose along this journey?
As they both take turns questioning your choices, you notice that The Lovers never let go of each other. They always, in some form or another, stay attached. Whether it's skin to skin, a hand on a leg, or shoulder to shoulder. They never seem completely disconnected. As they represent the battle within, of opposing choices, the visual helps you connect the dots. The Lovers in your journey speculate that intertwining your opposing choices is what will continue you forward.
How do you stay true to yourself when you are forced to pick either your heart or your head? Well, the answer is simple… for the most part. You choose both. You fuse fantasy into reality by making what you love practical. You refuse to settle and you only accept everything you want and need. Whether it’s in love, in your career, or in life. You choose what is most important for you, and that is knowing and believing that what you desire, what you want, can be just as practical as and what you need. You choose yourself and your authenticity by creating a life that allows both, and you strive towards that.
With authenticity comes a real connection with the separate parts of yourself. That is full acceptance. When you can accept that all that you are, includes what you desire, the game changes. You stop settling for scraps and you strive for real. Real love, real connections, real goals, and real desires. All of that is possible with help from The Lovers.
After you surrender over your ego to the Hierophant the next step is to gain true authenticity from the Lovers. You discover a little more of who you are and who you want to be, and how that matches up so perfectly with your purpose. Authenticity is no easy feat. It comes with ridicule, and pointing fingers. Your skeletons no longer reside in your closets and you no longer build your foundations off of what other people think of you. It’s liberating but it’s frightening, and it’s extremely necessary to continue on through the Fool’s Journey.
Are you ready to let go of the person you made yourself into for others and create yourself into someone new and real? Do you think that what you want and what you need does not exist or do you push past those limiting beliefs? Do you have the courage to build a life that is wonderfully and authentically all your own? Like the Lovers, do you forge two opposing ideas into one reality and take the path less traveled? Are you ready to fall deeply in love with the life you have always dreamed of?

We put incredible emphasis on the resolution list we create at the beginning of every year. All with good intentions of course. Even if our goals were to fall flat, the truth is that not much movement can be created without some sort of game plan. We all want the best for ourselves, I would like to think. Especially those of us with children. It is our job as parents to shovel out as much of the shit that has trickled down our lineage. The Unrequited Love Of Sophia
Sophia had always been a hopeless romantic, with a heart full of love and a soul that yearned for connection. She had given her heart to many, but none had ever captured her attention like Alexander. Tall, dark, and handsome, with piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through her, Alexander was the epitome of perfection. Sophia met Alexander at a charity gala, where they locked eyes across the room, and she knew in that instant that she was smitten. For weeks, Sophia couldn't shake off the feeling that she had found her soulmate. She would catch glimpses of him at social events, and her heart would skip a beat. She would find herself lost in thought, replaying their brief conversations, and wondering what it would be like to be with him. Sophia's friends would often tease her about her infatuation, but she couldn't help the way she felt. She was drawn to Alexander's confidence, his sense of humor, and his kind heart. As the months went by, Sophia found herself falling deeper and deeper in love with Alexander. She would send him flowers, write him love letters, and even show up at his favorite coffee shop, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. But despite her efforts, Alexander remained oblivious to her affections. He would smile and chat with her, but it was clear that he didn't see her in a romantic light. Sophia's friends would tell her to move on, to find someone who loved her back, but she couldn't bring herself to let go. She loved Alexander unconditionally, and she was willing to wait for him, no matter how long it took. As the years went by, Sophia's love for Alexander only grew stronger. She would attend his social events, cheering him on from the sidelines, and celebrating his successes as if they were her own. She would send him care packages, filled with his favorite treats, and write him letters, pouring her heart out onto the page. And although Alexander never reciprocated her feelings, Sophia didn't let that deter her. She loved him for who he was, and she was content to be a part of his life, even if it was just as a friend. One day, Alexander found himself in a difficult spot, and Sophia was there to lend a helping hand. She stood by him, offering words of encouragement, and helping him through the tough times. And as they stood together, Sophia realized that her love for Alexander wasn't about getting something in return. It was about loving him for who he was, without expectation or condition. In that moment, Sophia knew that she had found her true purpose. She would continue to love Alexander, unconditionally, and she would do so without expecting anything in return. For Sophia, loving Alexander was not about getting love back; it was about being a source of love and support in his life. And as she looked into his eyes, she knew that she would always be there for him, no matter what.
