All about dating. First dates, three years into a relationship, Tinder, and more.
Dating in Our Thirties!
I am in my late 30s and I have noticed that dating has become a lot harder the older you get. I have joined and deleted a lot of dating sites, because it seems that either the guys just want to hook up or the ones that want to date don't really want to get to know me before they try to hook up with me. It has been a constant cycle of frustration for me on a personal level. I know how great of a person I am, but none of these guys seem to want to get to know a thing about me at all.

Dear You, Sincerely Me (Pt. 1)
Dear Chase, By now, I know that Chase isn't your real name. But when I was fourteen years old and you found your way into my inbox on MeetMe, I was more than willing to believe that it was. Chase Ellison, a real celebrity, had seen my profile and messaged me! I was starstruck. I'd never been the prettiest girl, and looking back, the pictures that I took of myself were hardly flattering, but you had noticed me and it made me feel special for the first time in my life. I'll admit that I didn't know who you were at first. You told me that you were a model, and that sometimes you would act, and that sparked a curiosity in me. Had I seen your ads? Or maybe I had seen you in a TV show or a movie. Naturally, I took to Google to find the answers. The Boy Who Cried Werewolf. I had seen that movie! Oh my god. I really was talking to someone famous! Looking back now, I wish that I had known better. But how could I? It was later that year, 2010, that MTV's hit show Catfish aired for the first time, and it wasn't a show that I became interested in until was almost nineteen. Ultimately, the concept of a 'catfish' was completely unknown to me. I wanted so badly to believe that you were who you said you were. Our messages started out simple enough. We discussed our likes and our dislikes, our dreams and aspirations, and everything in between. We had become fast friends, and that was enough for me. I was an awkward teen who had trouble making friends, and for you to come into my life and take a general interest in me meant the world. And then you told me that I was beautiful. Me, beautiful? You've got it twisted. I'm not beautiful. My friends, Katie and Jen, they were beautiful. But that wasn't something that a guy had ever called me. For the first time, I began to see myself through a different lens. You awoke a self-confidence that I wasn't aware I possessed, and it was a good feeling. We flirted back and forth from that day forward, and that went on for a month or so. I found myself falling for you with each step we took, even though we'd never met. I wanted to, though. And so I asked you.

The Beginning of the End
2019 for me has not started out exactly how I wanted it to. For the first time in three years, I will be going into this year single. It actually happened, my worst desire and that small thought of doubt that was always in the back of my mind became a reality. Yes, the girl I loved for almost three years broke up with me on New Year’s Day.

What No One Tells You About Love
What nobody tells you about relationships is that sometimes you begin to realize your mistakes way too late. You look back and what seemed harmless, or even something that you didn’t think to consider, you realize was harmful behavior. The tricky thing about self improvement is that you’re never done. You don’t recognize what you’re doing as wrong in the moment because we live in a series of moments. Growth and change allow us to peel back the layers of ourselves and reflect on the choices we make, the reasons we make them, and our effect on others.

Hate That I Love You
My name is Luna and here's my love/hate story. It all began when I was 19 years old. I was a very sexual being and may I add, really beautiful in my own way. I was confident and had a great personality. And suddenly, there was this 16-year-old kid who was a real pain in the ass. He was superficial, too confident (if you ask me), he always wore expensive clothing brands... you know, a real douchebag.

Reasons Why Long Distance Relationships Don't Last
Many believe that love can conquer all. But is this famous idea still applicable if we are talking about thousands of miles and years of being apart? I have been a fan of love since mine beat to a special woman for the first time. After reading a lot of books, seeing movies, and experiencing it first hand, I can confidently say that long distance relationships seldom last. Although, I know a few couples who survived after keeping such kind of set up for a few years and are now happily living together, I can’t imagine how much effort and patience they invested to pull it through.

These Are the Things You Do to Me
Everything is fine, I lean against these walls thinking about my life. Everything is fine. But if such things are so true then why does this pain burn deep in the depths of me? Reaching up into my throat bursting out of my mouth? I lay on this bed thinking of this world, my world, thinking of what I hold what is mine.
