Hidden Behind My Smile... (Pt. 1)
We all want a happy ending, no matter what happens in our lives. I get annoyed whenever people say, “Bad experiences are what made you who you are today.” If I had a choice I would choose only happiness. The day I met Christof in 2013, who knew my life would change forever? When I was little, I thought love would be like a fairytale tale in a book or a Disney princess. Well, of course, because I grew up with overprotective parents.

It's Valentine's and You're Broke
Ah, it is that time of year where Valentine's Day is approaching. If you are either in a relationship or you are single and ready to mingle, there is always the issue and pressure of spending money for the one you love, even if it is yourself. For the single people reading this, I used to get through Valentine's Day with a face mask, a bubble bath, and a good glass of wine or pop depending on how really broke you are.

The New Way to Online Date...
The generation of "app" dating ... Here I was, just out of a four-and-a-half-year relationship, and having to download dating apps for the very first time. Because that's what we do now, right? I have many mixed feelings on this method of dating, as do many others that I know. It feels more like a social game that you play when you're bored rather than a legitimate way of meeting a potential partner. Dating apps kept me occupied when I had free time or when I was sitting on the couch only half way watching my DVR reality shows. Regardless of it being an occasional time filler, I was able to eventually find my "Bumble Bae," and leave the apps behind me. It was a process though, and there were plenty of doubtful moments. I'm here to tell you that we all share the same experiences, and have the same skeptical thoughts. But don’t allow those to make you not be open to it, because I've heard of just as many successes as I have fails—me being an example.

Love Me
I've seen him. Many times I've seen ... He smiles a lot. He's kind of goofy, and silly. The way his cheeks grow fat when he smiles, and his lashes flutter to shade his eyes from the bright light erupting from him. He's my everything, or so I thought, believed? A boy, who danced in cinnamon and decided this is the skin he'll wear. He didn't want to be unusual so he went for brown eyes. He wasn't given the world though. No golden spoon hanging from his mouth. He was poor, and hungry. All he had was his faith because he was too shy to have anything else. But honestly, he didn't want anything else. He was content and joyous with his faith and his family. A musician he'll turn out to be. One for a small portion of the world to watch. One in which, I decided to watch.

Sex and Baby Boomers
I was surfing the web recently when I came across an interesting video clip that discussed older adult's sex lives. Maria Shriver was interviewing a group of mature individuals. Everyone in the group was over the age of fifty. The group was composed of single people and married couples. They discussed their love lives in an open and frank way. There were no embarrassed giggles or bashful looks. I found the participants had interesting comments to make about how they defined what sex is to them.

Settling Down Young?
It isn't really uncommon these days for people in their early 20s to get married. A lot of people I know even got married at 18-19! The thoughts of how "adult" it is to be married. There are tons of mixed feelings on when you should get married, have children, or buy a house. Everyone moves at their own pace so if you aren't married with kids by 25, YOU'RE OKAY! Don't feel like you're obligated to get pregnant cause all your friends are. Don't rush stuff!

Background Check Someone You Meet Online
Meeting someone for the first time online can be exciting. You feel like you clicked with that person and conversations flow easily. As time goes on, you may even feel like it may be time to meet this person in real life. With that said, there are some important questions you should ask yourself before doing so. Is this person really who he or she says she is?

How to Keep a Successful Relationship
A relationship is defined as the manner in which people interact or behave towards one another. Building a successful relationship is not something easy as many people may think of. "The One"
As I pick up where my last blog left off, I was explaining how due to my upbringing, I did not know what love was. So in my growing up adulthood years I had met the man I believed I would marry. This would be the start of a downward spiral for me. My first serious relationship, "I was so excited!" This particular man I met right after I truly committed my life to God, joined a new church, and really excited about my new beginnings. So I just knew this was the man of God for me. Nobody could tell me otherwise.
