All about dating. First dates, three years into a relationship, Tinder, and more.
No, I'm Not Dating Him so My Kids Can Have Curly Hair
Arriving at the till in any store is a little different for me, especially when I am with him. Amidst deciding whether or not I want a “plestik” I make other calculative decisions as to whether or not I am going to respond in my mother tongue (Setswana) and embarrass both the teller and the packer for their whispers or if it’s one of those I am going to ignore.

'I Overthink Your Punctuation Use'
There's a reason why so many people can relate when Lorde sings, "I overthink your punctuation use" in The Louvre. We can be prone to ruminate and overanalyze silly things, particularly in the early stages of dating. This is enhanced through the use of texting and social media. Text messages can easily get lost in translation, with misunderstandings being part and parcel of texting. Questions like, “Why did they use that full stop?” and “What does that emoji symbolize?” can begin to consume our thoughts. We may rewrite texts multiple times before sending it and send our friends screenshots asking for their advice on how to move forward. Changes in our partner’s mood may cause us to start listing all the potential reasons, in order to see if it could be something to do with us. Many of us overanalyze and overthink relationships from time to time. However, this can become a serious problem when it becomes a daily occurrence and not a once-in-a-while incidence. Therefore, it’s important to try and limit such thoughts and keep in mind that our perception of behaviours is often just our perception.

What Is Abuse?
My name is Wesson Tisdale, and I'm here to tell you the story of how I died. I don't mean that literally because if I did, you wouldn't be reading this. I just turned 18 years old about three months ago. I haven't lived with my parents since I was 17 and a half. Our family went through some tough shit and my strict parents became not-so-strict parents.

Two Is Better Than One: Power Couples
Today’s topic is a continuation of my relationship series, and I wanted to discuss something that has been on my mind recently. We constantly see so many couples that talk about being power couples, and even singles that talk about wanting a power couple relationship and marriage. The one thing that I feel that they have left out on discussing is what it means to be a power couple and how to achieve it. Although widely discussed, I think we deserve the right to know and become that power couple that we constantly converse about, and even try to emulate those qualities before we get married.

Drying Paint
Average day, swipe left, swipe right. Hoping that I would find someone who would fit me just right, or at least be an interesting experience at the end of the day. I ended up matching with a lovely gal from the islands of Canada. She was new to the city out here in the west and still getting comfortable with the city after a year. Our text conversations seemed to be going great. They were engaging and thoughtful. We seemed to share the same aspects of life.
