10 Shocking Stephen King Stories
I'm going to say something a smidge controversial: I like Stephen King better in brief. Sure, there's no denying his brilliance in epics like The Stand or IT. But my most satisfying King reads have been more focused: Pet Sematary, Carrie, Misery, even Bag of Bones, which is not short, but feels weightless next to some of his other works.

Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made
I will go ahead and warn you now. If you are not into horror or weird almost trippy films, Antrum is not for you. I was recommended the film a few weeks back by a friend who knows me pretty well. They said they just finished watching it, wasn’t too sure how they felt about the film and definitely wanted to hear my thoughts and opinions on the movie. A few weeks later I had the time and decided to watch the film in the middle of the day. This review will be a little different than the rest of my articles. I won’t be posting spoilers or telling too much detail in regards to the plot and storyline. This is a film I want you to hear a little about and then go check out yourself.

Why 'The Exorcist' is Still the Scariest Film Ever Made
Yes, it sounds like a cliche, but 'The Exorcist' is not heralded by many as 'the scariest movie ever made' without good reason. Recently, horror flicks of the last few years such as 'Hereditary' and 'Veronica' have been thrust in our faces with the tagline 'This generation's 'The Exorcist''. It's safe to say that William Friedkin's 1973 possession movie about the trials and tests of faith has a reputation that strides before it. And, of course, film is subjective. What some find scary, others don't, and that's ok. Yet, rather than flounder in comparison to today's contenders, 'The Exorcist' still holds up.

The Dark side
"Jewels, it's time for school hunny" her mom said. Jewels woke up slowly, stretching every muscle in her body before she got up. "Mom, I'm up, what's for breakfast" Jewels said. She got a hair tie and pulled her long silky red hair up in a ponytail and walked out of her bedroom and started to slowly walk down the stairs, the smell of the pancakes and broths made her stomach growl in hunger. When she got downstairs she went straight towards the kitchen and every step she took closer to the kitchen, the stronger the pancakes and broths smell got.

SLEEP PARALYSIS
It was the day when I watched 'Lights out' (a must watch movie for all the horror movie fans out there) all by myself. I have heard a lot of stories about sleep paralysis from my teachers and parents but not until I had my own experience did I know how scary it was. According to their explanation, the black demons also known as 'Khyak' in Nepali takes a visit and tries to asphyxiate humans. One of my teachers in my school told us his experience of being choked to death but I sat there in disbelief until that very day. SO as I was sleeping peacefully I abruptly felt the presence of a heavy person on my chest. Not only was it sitting but was pressing me down real hard. I tried to reach out to my sister who was sleeping just beside me but I was like a stone, couldn’t move. I screamed so loud for help but no voice came out of my mouth. The pressure on my chest started to get much heavier. I started to think of the ghost in the movie. Was it her? But then all of the stories of my teachers and parents struck my head. I felt the pain down through my shoulders. I fought to wake up . I kept on screaming with not an "ah" coming out from my mouth. Then finally after a few minutes, I was set free. I could move, blink my eyes but since I was not so sure about my voice I shouted real hard. My sister who was scared to death from my high pitched scream consoled me to sleep. Of course, after what happened I couldn’t sleep for days. I didn’t sleep for weeks thinking that if I slept it would happen to me again and again. I was afraid of falling asleep. I was sleep-deprived, I went to college I tried sleeping in there. I couldn’t concentrate on what my teachers taught. AND the days were tough however I got over it after maybe 2 weeks. But I tell you, it didn't happen to me just ones, I am 17 and by now I have already experienced this sleep paralysis over 20 -30 times.
