Spooky Stroll & A Story
Greetings! Welcome to your next reading experience. My name is Mystrella, and I'm here to keep you on the right path in these tricky woods. My friends may help, but I wouldn't trust Cat, and keep clear of Spider, unless you want to get caught up in her story web. Now then, If you've gathered your wits, follow me through the trees. Step lightly upon entering the forest landscape. You wouldn't want to disturb anything we'd rather stay asleep.

Symbolic Monsters of Legend - Vampires
Horror enthusiasts will always respect vampires and their everlasting presence throughout history. They've spread terror since the origins of Mesopotamian and Jewish folklore and were depicted in so many different ways, their beliefs about them overlapped and spread throughout the world. We commonly know vampire tales to be most prominent in many parts of Europe, but their legend is global and their archetype is littered throughout literature to this day. Let's look into a brief history of the vampire and explore their symbolism. Then, I'll propose another interpretation of vampires.

Him & Her
Prologue Why as teenagers, do we seem to be more like followers, than individuals? I can't understand it. The moment we hit high school, our singular identities turn into group identity; for example, jocks, cheerleaders, the debate team…you name it. It wouldn't matter if your interests were elsewhere, it wouldn't matter if your parents forced you to follow in their footsteps and it didn't matter what you truly desired deep down…what mattered was how you were perceived by your peers.

The Unfanged Ones
To whoever finds this, I am going to tell you a story about people like me. You probably don’t want to hear it right now but maybe one day you will be able to look back and know that how my people and I were treated was unjust and barbaric. I don’t know who you are and how far into the future you are reading this. I don’t know if your opinion of my kind differs much from the opinion held by society at the time of writing this. I don’t even know if you will know much about the history of mankind and my kind. To ensure that you have an understanding about why I am writing this and why I am going to do what I am about to do I need to start from the beginning.

The Intruder
Making love to my love at the park. It was a nice sunny day, and no one was around. It was perfect for a session of love. It was perfect. The wind was blowing just right keeping the heat at a nice cool level. Suddenly, the whole park started moving as if an earthquake hit. I looked at my love, and she was just calling my name. With a hard stare, she just kept calling my name.

An encounter with "lasers"
This account is not your typical ghost story and involves a close relative who we will call Jeff (not his real name). Jeff relayed this story to me several days after it had occurred. The events in this account took place approximately 25 years ago when Jeff was in High school.

The Roar
In early 2004 I had an experience that left me fearing for my life. At the time my family was away and I was making the most of the time alone with a marathon internet session. At this point, broadband was not generally available in Queanbeyan and we used dial up. We had two phone lines so we could make and receive calls with one whilst being online with the other. To make calls we typically used a portable phone that would need to be charged via the base unit every so often. On this occasion, I had the phone sitting next to me whilst surfing online. At a little after midnight I decided that nobody was likely to be calling and I decided to take the phone downstairs to charge it.
