All American Bad Boy: Why 'Scream' is the Ultimate Slasher Film. Second Place in Slasher Classics Challenge.
The seductive yet sinister voice, the long black grim reaper-like gown, the big black boots, the malicious mind games, and the terrifyingly long stretched-mouthed and stretch-eyed white mask are enough to induce great fear in anyone. This was especially true for me as I watched Wes Craven's Scream movie for the first time at seven years old. There was something about the ghost face persona that pulled me in as a viewer, and I felt both absorbed by the scenes unfolding before me and absolutely frightened out of my mind.

Reverend Henry Kane
When I think about my favorite horror movie I consider many things. I look at the storyline and feel that plot as well as a strong cast of characters is important. As for the scare factor since we are talking about horror here I need to be terrified. Combining these factors, my choice for all time ultimate slasher/thriller is the Poltergeist trilogy from the 1980’s. My focus is one particular character; the Reverend Henry Kane.

A Filmmaker's Review: "The Invisible Man" (2020)
“The Invisible Man” is probably best remembered as one of the scariest Sci-Fi novels of all time. By HG Wells and concerning a man who turns himself invisible and then has trouble turning himself back, it shows the descent of the human mind in knowing that they cannot be held accountable for their actions. Over the years, it has been adapted many, many times and some of them have been very successful and it has even been adapted indirectly such as in the film “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” (fun fact: that was one of my favourite movies as a child!). “The Invisible Man” was an amazing book turned into some amazing movies, but this one was not one of them. Let us investigate why.
