Review: "Infinite"
Infinite is another in a long list of films that were delayed for theatrical release due to the Covid-19 pandemic only to find itself being digitially released on a streaming platform and features a rather impressive cast alongside a very accomplished director in Antoine Fuqua. While the film has a lot going for it in talent, the script and logic behind it is very frequently missing. The film does however feature some rather impressive action sequences but it lacks any real impact or weight among the audience.

The 2000s were not kind to late ’80s and ’90s action star Jean-Claude Van Damme. Despite gaining national recognition from films such as Bloodsport and Kickboxer, his career took a turn to direct-to-VOD and limited release films that nobody ever watched.

This is either going to be the worst trip or the best trip of your life. Guess I’ll see. Midnight Run was released to theaters in 1988 after an epic adventure. Jack, a bounty hunter, is on a mission to bring a former mafia accountant back to New York. In five days, an unlikely friendly stems between the duo. As they converse on their tales, this adventure is the most chaotic trip ever.
Marielle SabbagPublished 3 years ago in GeeksReview of 'Malice'
Once upon a time, there was a wicked fairy who, in an act of vengeance, cursed a line of princesses to die. A curse that could only be broken by true love's kiss. You've heard this before, haven't you? The handsome prince. The happily ever after. Utter nonsense. Let me tell you, no one in Briar actually cares about what happens to its princesses. Not the way they care about their jewels and elaborate parties and charm-granting elixirs. I thought I didn't care, either. Until I met her. Princess Aurora. The last heir to Briar's throne. Kind. Gracious. The future queen her realm needs. One who isn't bothered that I am Alyce, the Dark Grace, abhorred and feared for the mysterious dark magic that runs in my veins. Humiliated and shamed by the same nobles who pay me to bottle hexes and then brand me a monster. Aurora says I should be proud of my gifts. That she . . . cares for me. Even though a power like mine was responsible for her curse. But with less than a year until that curse will kill her, any future I might see with Aurora is swiftly disintegrating--and she can't stand to kiss yet another insipid prince. I want to help her. If my power began her curse, perhaps it's what can lift it. Perhaps together we could forge a new world. Nonsense again. Because we all know how this story ends, don't we? Aurora is the beautiful princess. And I-- I am the villain.

'Jungle Cruise' Review - A Swashbuckling Pleasure
Disney has a new movie out, and for once, it is not a live-action remake of an animated classic. Thank goodness. I'm still wiping the taste of Mulan out of my mouth.
Jonathan SimPublished 3 years ago in Geeks Review: "Blood Red Sky"
Netflix new horror film, Blood Red Sky, has an incredibly fun premise but feels incredibly disjointed at times. The film itself doesn't seem like it knows whether or not it wanted to be a foreign film, or an American horror story for one and the dialogue is so jarring that it easily takes you out of the experience. The premise and feel of the film will make many people think back to genre hits such as "From Dusk till Dawn", "Snakes on a Plane" and even at times "30 Days of Night." That is some high praise as all of those films are fairly well received and I suspect Blood Red Sky will be as it is a rarity to find a decent monster horror film these days.

Marielle SabbagPublished 3 years ago in GeeksLifetime Review: 'Keeping Up With the Joneses: The Wrong Blackmail'
Robin Jones (Vivica A. Fox) may be home safe and sound, but things are far from over when it comes to her family's problems. After Robin was kidnapped and held captive, Pam (Arie Thompson) reluctantly relinquished her family's Harborside deal in exchange for her release. Now, with each of the Jones sisters receiving emails containing compromising information that could destroy them, the women realize they have to stick together if they want to save Jones Enterprise. After all, their suspicions that Robin might be conspiring against them with their father's old nemesis Webb Devereaux (Ted McGinley) have gotten a lot stronger.
Trevor WellsPublished 3 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Freaky"
Freaky is a horror movie that came out in 2020. It's got a very silly and fun premise that lead me to think this was a remake of the 2002 movie "The Hot Chick". Even though it's technically a horror movie I found that there were probably more laughs. Fortunately these moments of comedy are meant to be in there and not because the movie is taking itself too seriously.
