Lifetime Review: 'Sinister Stepsister'
Apart from some work frustrations, life was normal for architect Jeff Mitchell (Matthew Pohlkamp), his doting wife Lisa (Jhey Castles), and their children Ella and Noah (Tu Morrow and Dayne Jarrah). But all of that changed with a simple trip to the bar to take his mind off things. It's there that Jeff runs into Carlee Byrne (Annika Foster), who gives him some shocking news: Jeff's her father! As it turns out, Jeff's high school girlfriend was pregnant when she moved away and they drifted apart, with Carlee only learning about her paternity after her mother's passing. After a DNA test definitively proves Carlee's his daughter, Jeff happily introduces her to his family and everyone is quickly charmed by the young woman.
Trevor WellsPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Drunken Master II (aka The Legend of Drunken Master)"
Drunken Master II (aka The Legend of Drunken Master) is a classic kung fu movie that came out in 1994. You can say I instantly fell in love with this movie the first time I ever saw it, which was many years ago. Unfortunately North America had never gotten a proper physical or digital release of this movie for quite some time.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in GeeksVillainess Review: Vanessa (Vid Chronicles)
Out of all of those "life lessons" video pages, I have to say that I love Vid Chronicles the best. For one, it's darker and grittier than Dhar Mann and Totally Studios, and secondly, the villainesses in Vid Chronicles are that much more interesting. One of a number of examples of both attributes is featured in one of their short films, Girlfriend Harms Boyfriend's Son, which centered on Vanessa, the girlfriend of divorced father James.
Clyde E. DawkinsPublished 2 years ago in GeeksBlack Panther (2018) Part 2
The way the film avoids traditional either/or boundaries, particularly the binary opposition that tends to dominate our debate on race, is part of the movie's pleasure and ethos — which wends through its images. Wakanda's life is urban and rural, futuristic and traditional, technological and mystical all at the same time. A hover train zips over a market with hanging woven baskets while spaceships whiz over soaring houses with thatched roofs. An open-air throne room is horizontally draped with hung tree limbs in one of the most stunning locations, creating a loose pattern that deliberately blurs the barrier between the inner and external worlds and is repeated by fretwork in garments and other sets.

My Review of "Turning Red"
Turning Red is Pixar's latest 2022 movie. It's rather odd that it would be available for streaming right away on Disney Plus. I think they could make a killing in the box office with this movie. Everything about it screams quality.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in GeeksThe Batman
I went last night to see the newest Batman movie titled "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne or Batman. It had been hyped up and after being incredibly impressed with Joaquin Phoenix's performance in "Joker" I had to see "The Batman" movie to see how it would measure up. I was very excited to get to go the movie theater. I usually don't go anymore because it tends to be expensive and because I'm a smoker. There are not many movies that are put out that can keep my attention without a cigarette for 2 or 3 hours. I also don't have my own car at this time so traveling is a bit of a hassle. I got a ride and met with my friends (other comic fans who teach me a lot about comics) and we were all excited about seeing the film. I got my popcorn and soda, and was treated to the movie, and we sat down to watch. I enjoyed the viewing and out of 5 stars, I'd give it 4, but that's being really kind. I actually felt somewhat disappointed as I was leaving the theater. I wanted so much more from Pattinson and Kravitz. They weren't bad, they were good, but I can't say they were great. Maybe Kilmer and Keaton had it right when they played Batman flat. The little bit of depth that Pattinson contributed to Batman still wasn't enough. He looked good in the suit and his eyes were very expressive, but it wasn't enough. Maybe there is no way to give Batman the life that the villains get to express. Batman's best emotive line in this film was "I am vengeance." Which we already saw in the trailer. Besides that there was no significant dialogue or emotion-packed monologue. I found that a bit depressing.
Shanon NormanPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Exchange"
The Exchange is an unapologetic Canadian movie that is so full of heart that you'll want to live in the small town it's based in. It's a movie concept that we've seen before but done with a lot of new twists. A lot of the movie however is held on the charms of a lot of the actors.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Adam Project"
The Adam Project is Netflix's latest big budget release in 2022. The trailers for this movie felt more like some sort of 80's space adventure but we got something totally different. The movie lures you in with some science fiction elements but instead sucks you into a family movie that explores the main character's own development.
